Loveiand, Colo., Feb. 24, 1908 "D. A. Handbury and Ross Amos,
who live near Mariana butte, about three miles west of town, shot a bobcat this
morning. The cats have come down from the range recently, driven by the snow,
and have caused trouble in the hen coops of the ranchmen in the foothills."

Fort Collins, Colorado "Mrs. Cora Mayfield of Loveland has been advised by the British
government of the death of her brother, David A. Handbury, a former member of
Battery A. Handbury was with the battery at Golden and suffered from what was
termed a sunstroke. It developed that his heart had been affected.
After his discharge he enlisted in the British navy and sailed from
Port Arthur. He died at 6 p. m. on November 2, 1917, while the British
transport Swineburne was at sea and his remains were consigned to the deep.
Handbury was well known here and in Loveland."
