"A very pretty wedding occurred at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Burkhalter Wednesday at 2:30 p m. when their daughter Edith Alma became the bride of Hiram Ray Burritt.
Following the ceremony and congratulations from the twenty-five
guests, dainty refreshments were served.
The bride is a young lady who possesses a sweet, friendly
disposition and has endeared herself to all who have had the pleasure
of knowing her. Since her graduation frem Delta high school in 1914
she has been a successful teacher in and near Eckert.
The groom is the eldest son of F. R. Burritt and the late
Mrs. F. R. Burritt of this city, and is highly esteemed by all.
In 1916 he was graduated from Cornell university and the following
year was county agent cf Orange county, New York. He enlisted in the
spring of 1918 and sailed for France in September. While there he
served as botany professor in the American university.
The happy couple departed early Thursday morning for Eckert.
They will reside on the Burritt place on Tongue Creek.
The best wishes of all go with them to their new home.

1941 "Leslie Burritt is spending the week at Cedaredge with his grandmother, Mrs. Burkhalter."
April 24, 1941 "Mrs. Hiram Burritt of the Tongue creek district, died early Tuesday morning at the family home. She had been ill only a few days. Mrs. Burritt is a daughter of Mrs. Burkhalter of Cedaredge and is well and favorably known thruout the valley. Obituary data is not obtainable at this writing. Funeral arrangements are not yet announced. Mr. Burritt is suffering from the same infection and is very ill, but reports seem to indicate he is showing some improvement."
Kenneth R. Burritt married Luella Grothe on March 20, 1949 in Iowa.
" MUSCATINE, IOWA, Tuesday, March 22, 1947
Miss Luella Grothe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Grothe,
1035 Newell avenue, became the bride of Kenneth Burritt,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Burritt of Clearfield, Utah, in
a pretty candlelight service performed at 2:30 Sunday afternoon in the
Walnut Street Baptist church. "

When Paul Grothe died in Muscatine, Iowa in 2009,
survivors included one brother, Walter Grothe and wife, Gladys, of Des Moines; and four sisters, Ruth Yerington of Muscatine, Luella Burritt of Denver, Colorado, Edna Saue of Orange, California, and Elaine Miller of Reading, California.
In 2011, when Edna Grothe Saue, formerly of Muscatine, died in Orange County, California " She is survived by her brother, Walt Grothe and wife, Gladys, of Waukee, Iowa; three sisters, Ruth Grothe Yerington of Muscatine, Lue Grothe Burritt of Colorado, and Elaine Grothe Miller of California"
ROBERT'S FAMILY

Robert A. Knott and Nellie D. Burkhalter were married in Flagler
on January 28, 1894 by Geo E. Tuttle of Flagler.
Robert claimed 160 acres in section 24, 8S 50W in 1896, and Robert A. Knott/Knodt one in section 23 in 1900.
In 1910 Robert is a railroad station agent in Ketchum, Idaho, 40, with Nellie D. 39.
In 1940 Flagler, Florence M. Neff, 65, Charles Burckhalter 76, Albert BUrckhalter 71, and Nellie D. Knott 69 are living in Flagler precinct.
Robert Arthur Knott, born Feb 13, 1870 in Mechanicsville, Cedar County, Iowa, died in Salt Lake City April 5, 1931, buried in Flagler # 22941453.
So is Nellie 1870-1954 # 22603422. "Daughter of Henry Burkhalter and Hannah Dutro."
