John H. Brisbin died at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Torrance Brisbin,
in this city, Thursday morning, September 26, 1895. He had been in poor health for about a year and a half and had been gradually failing in health, his death resulting from consumption.
John H. Brisbin was born Sept 18, 1868. He has always made his home in or near Sycamore, being engaged most of the time in farming. In November, 1893, he was married to Bernie B. Nichols, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Nichols.
Besides the parents and widow, John Brisbin leaves two younger sisters, Susie and Mabel, to mourn his death.
He was a young man of good disposition and had many friends who regret his untimely end.
The funeral services will be held at the house this Saturday afternoon and the remains will be interred in Elmwood cemetery.
"Mabel Brisbin died at the home of her mother, Mrs. Torence Brisbin, in Sycamore,
Sunday afternoon, February 19, 1899, from consumption, after an illness extending over a period of about eight months. Deceased was in her seventeenth year and was held in esteem by all her young friends.
While in attendance upon a moonlight picnic at St. Charles last summer she contracted a severe cold which quickly developed consumption and caused her death.
The funeral services were from the Congregational church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. G. W. Rexford officiating.

Mr. Torrence Brisbin died at his home on Grant street, in Sycamore, at 5 o'clock Sunday morning last. He had long been ill of consumption.
Mr. Brisbin was born in Northumberland county, Canada, and was in his 56th year. He came to this county in 1865, and in 1867 he married Malvina Lindsay. To them were born three children. Their son, John Brisbin, died only a few months ago. Two daughters beside the widow survive.
The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, and were conducted by Rev. A. T. Horn, of the Methodist church. The remains were interred in Elmwood.

grandmother of Mrs. Algy Stinton died December 19 at Idaho Springs. The remains wee shpped to Flagler and burial was in the Flagler Cemetery."
