" Frank Montgomery has the contract to put up the ice crop in this city this year and commenced work today. Two kinds of ice will be put up by the brewing companies, No. 1 for the use of private families next summer, and a poorer grade for the use in coolers. It will all be good ice, but the second grade will not be as clear from the weeds as the No. 1, which will be hauled about 10 miles. Mr. Pratt told a STAR scribe today that at least 40,000 tons will be harvested and stored in this city this winter."Frank Montgomery died in Tonopah, Nevada on March 3, 1936, age 83.
