"Mrs. Gardie E. May, 89, of 1456 Moshier Ave., Galesburg, Illinois, died Sunday, April 3, 1977 at 7:45 p.m. in Cottage Hospital. The former Gardie Ritz was born Nov. 2, 1887, in Iowa and married Earl M. May in Flagler, Colo. He died in 1964.
Surviving are a son, Russel of Galesburg; one grandchild, three-great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Hinchliff - Pearson West Chapel where friends may call Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery."
