Mrs. Armanda Koons dropped dead April 20, 1927 at the farm fourteen miles southwest of Yuma, age 47 years, 4 months and 26 days. She was found on the steps after a snowfall, and her husband came to town with a neighbor and didn't return until after 4 o'clock.
She was born in Stockholm on November 24, 1879, and
married Lewis in 1914. About 1915 they moved to the farm.
She left three sisters - Mrs. George Swasey of Seattle,
Mrs. Ahua Rose of Omaha, Mrs. Tyra Kimbaum of Denver,
and a brother Ed Linquist of White River, South Dakota. She was buried in Crown Hill Cemetery, Denver.

Walter moved to Phillips County KS where he spent most of his life.
On 27 Dec 1911, he was united in marriage to Miss Bertha Parker & their family consisted of 1 girl; Velma Clement of Washington State & 1 son: Pearl E. Thomas. Mrs. Thomas passed away about 4 years ago. Mr. Thomas was a good neighbor & deeply respected by those who knew & loved him. He was as member of the Woodman lodge. He spent several years farming south of Woodruff & moved to Woodruff in 1948.
He leaves to mourn his passing 1 daughter & 1 son; 5 grandchildren; 12 gr-grandchildren & 1 foster grandchild; & many relatives, friends & neighbors.
Services were at the Zulauf-Banta Chapel in Alma NE on Friday afternoon Jan 26th with the RevMorris Matthews officiating. Soloist was Rev. Paul Johnson accompanied by Mrs. Jack Hardin-organist. Bearers were listed. Burial was in the Woodruff Cemetery in Woodruff KS "
