father William G. 59 born in Ohio, and Emma H. 47 born in Indiana.
Mary is 23, Irven 19, Alva H. 17, William T. 13, Charles 11,
Theodore 8, and Ninah B. 6, all kids born in Iowa.
Cyrus claimed a quarter in section 31, 8S 45W, Kit Carson County, in 1891.

had Anna Leona Hewitt about 1893 in Louisa County.
In 1900 Louisa County, Cyrus born December 1859, married 18 years to May S. Jan 1860, have Cecil Dec 1884, Aleta Dec 1890, and Anna N. Aug 1894, all born in Iowa.
Anna Hewitt married Alben Alexander Dorris in Louisa County on December 6, 1916.
In 1920 Morning Sun, Louisa County, Cyrus is farming, 60, wtih Mary S. 59 and William M. 23.
1926 Muscatine, Iowa "Mrs. Cyrus Hewitt, is visiting with her daughter. Mrs. Lee Walker, and family, at Crawfordsville. "
Cyrus and Mary are alone in 1930 Louisa County, still farming.
1937 "Cyrus Hewitt, who has returned from a visit with relatives in California and Washington states visited Tuesday at the home of J. T. Hewitt east of town."

with Mary Susanna (McClure) Hewitt 1860-1932.
"Mary Susanna McClure was the daughter of Alexander and Julia Ann Montgomery McClure and was born near Morning Sun January 7, 1860, and passed away November 12, at the age of 72 years. She was united in marriage to Cyrus Hewitt, January 31, 1883. To them four children were born, Cecil M. Hewitt and William M. Hewitt of Peoria, Illinois, Mrs. Aleta M. Walker, Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Anna Davis of Mediapolis, all of whom with the husband survive. There are five grandchildren. There also survive two brothers and two sisters, Vanetta McClure, Winterset, Frank McClure, Forest Grove, Oregon, Mrs. W. C. Swan, Morning Sun and Mrs. Emma Caldwell of Flint, Michigan. Her entire life was spent in the vicinity of Morning Sun with the exception of three years spent in Colorado. Early in life she united with the United Presbyterian church and at the time of her marriage she transferred her membership to the Presbyterian church of Morning Sun."

LEONA
Leona Ann (Hewitt) Davis 1894-1988 is buried in Des Moines County, # 17169290.
"Leona Ann "Anna" Davis, 93, of Mediapolis, died 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, 1988, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born August 25, 1894, at Morning Sun, she was the daughter of Cyrus F. and Mary S. McClure Hewitt. On December 6, 1916, in Louisa County, she married Alben A. Davis.
She was a country school teacher. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Mediapolis, and was an assistant church organist and was active in UPW.
Surviving are five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Fry Funeral Chapel, Mediapolis.
The service for Mrs. Davis will be 2 p.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church, Mediapolis, with the Reverend H. Dick Reynolds Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Kossuth Cemetery."
WILLIAM
William M. Hewitt, 42, of Fingham, South Dakota, married Alice M. Rau in COdington, South Dakota on April 9, 1939.
William 43, born in Iowa, and Alice W. Hewitt 33 born in South Dakota, are in Lansin Michigan in 1900. He was in Peoria Illinois in 1935.
William McClure Hewitt, of Clinton County, Michigan, born April 28, 1896 in Morning Sun, Iowa, was employed by L.B. Price Mercantile of St. Louis, working at S. Washington Avenue in Lansing, Michigan.
His reference was C. M. Hewitt of 525 Barker Avenue, Peoria, Illinois.
William, born April 28, 1896, died in
Pinellas County, Florida on April 23, 1982.
In 1965 Arthur Rau, Mable Rau, Ethel Rau, Irene Lockie, and Alice M. Hewitt " are the owners of the Lincoln Hotel in Watertown, South Dakota. "
Alice Magealena Hewitt, born May 31, 1906, died July 16, 1973 in Pinellas County, Clorida.
