In 1880 Phillips County, Kansas, J. B. Gilbert is farming 58, born in Pennsylvania, with Martha 41 in Ohio. Harry is 13, born in Iowa, farming. Effa 9 born in the Indian Nation, Adda 6, Maggie 4 both born in Iowa, and Maud eight months old in Kansas.

Harry K. Gilbert, 22, born in Iowa to John B. Gilbert and Martha Elston, married Kettie Hibbard, 18, born in Missouri to Wm. Hibbard and Emma Largent, on April 20, 1889 in Hamilton County, Iowa.
(Mary Hibbard, 6, was in Hamilton County in 1880, with grandparents Wm. H. Miller 56 and Mary 46.)

In 1900 Phillips County, Kansas, Harry Gilbert is farming, born April 1868 in Iowa, married six years to Laura M. born April 1879 in Kansas. Maggie iDec 1890 was born in Iowa, Edna B. June 1896 and Fred J. April 1898 both in Kansas.

In 1910 John, a carpenter, and Maggie are in Bates County, Missouri, 26, both born in Iowa. Cecil H. is five months old, born in Utah. They're next to Harry K. Gilbert 43 and Laura 31 - his second marriage.

In 1930 Pennington County, South Dakota, Laura is widowed, 50, with son Harry 21, a farm laborer, Wanda 15 and Evelyn 11.

Harry Kimber Gilbert 1909-1968 is buried in Black Hills National # 3312123, with Cecelia Vada (Luddy) Gilbert 1912-1993.

January 1966 " 1st Lt and Mrs. Joseph Jensen and four children, left Monday after visiting over the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gilbert, Deadwood. The Jensen family live in Minneapolis, Minn., and were in Seattle, Wash., for a visit with relatives and friends."

November 5, 1968 Lead, South Dakota "Harry K. Gilbert, Sturgis who died Saturday evening in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Fort Meade. He had been ill for a number of years. Gilbert was born in Kir Carson County, Colo., Aug. 12, 1908, and as a small child lived with his parents in the Mystic area. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, and was in the Navy SeaBee's. Survivors are his wife, two brothers, James Gilbert, Deadwood; Joseph, San Jose, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Wanda Larson, Springfield, Mo.; Mrs. Evelyn McCaskill, Marshfield, Mo.; and Mrs. May Peterson, Santa Clara, Calif. His parents, a sister and brother preceded him in death. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert made Deadwood their home until about a year ago when they moved to Sturgis."

MAGGIE

John P. Widnerand Maggie E. Gilbert married in Kit Carson County on October 3, 1909.
Maggie is buried in San Bernardino County, California.

John 1884-1970 is buried in San Bernardino County # 71095568. "A 22-year resident of Fontana. Tw daughters, Marie Lyncho of Rialto and Bonnie Mansfield of San Clemente, sons Cecil, William and Frank all of Montana."
Margaret 1890-1970 is buried with him 1890-1970 # 93472998.
