In 1885 Mills County, John "Bremier" is 61, farming, Nancy 48, Reuben 22, Susan 18, and Elisa 16 all three born in Cedar County, Iowa. Lydia 12, Charles 10, Louis 8, and Harry 5 were born in Mills County.
John F. Brammeier proved up a quarter in section 17, 9S 44W in 1894.
J.F. 1824-1898 is buried in Thayer
County, Nebraska # 26639746.
He died near Boulder, Colorado.
"A runaway resulting fatally occurred near Sunshine on the road
leading to Boulder last Tuesday. J. F. Brammeier one of the occupants of the wagon, was thrown out and received injuries which resulted in his death. The other occupants were not seriously hurt.
Brammeier, in company with his wife and a niece, and H.T. Edwards, a mining engineer, started to drive to Boulder.
When a short distance from Sunshine the horses became frightened and started to run away.
The wagon was overturned and all the occupants thrown out. Brammeier fell in such a manner that his back was broken by the fall. It was this injury that resulted in his death, though he was otherwise badly hurt. Beyond severe shocks the others escaped uninjured.
The injured man was taken to Sunshine where a doctor was summoned, but medical aid was of no avail and his death resulted in a few moments. Mr. Trezise was summoned to take charge of the remains.
Brammeier was 74 years old and was the father of 13 children,
three of whom live in Sunshine. The rest are scattered in Iowa
and Nebraska. He has resided with his sons in Sunshine for
four years, living in a retired manner. The remains were shipped
to Shickley, Nebraska, Thurday, by Mr. Trezise.
C.M. Pruden was down Wednesday from Sunshine. He states that in the accident there Tuesday Mr. Edwards was more seriously injured than first reported. His left arm was broken and his face was badly cut up. He was however, resting easy Wednesday and on a fair way to improvement.
Nancy claimed a quarter in section 15, 8S 45W, Kit Carson County, in 1909.
Nancy (Kiser) Brammeier is buried in Thayer County, Nebraska # 26639747
"Mrs. Nancy Kiser Brammeier was born in Rockingham, Va. June 5, 1834 and died near Davenport at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.G. Lambert June 20, 1921, aged 88 years, 15 days.
She was one of a family of 13 children, 5 boys and 8 girls of whom only Reuben Kiser of Long Beach, Calif. survives.
Nancy Kiser was married Nov. 15, 1848 to John F. Brammeier.
To this union also 13 children were born,

Jer. of Nywatt, Colo.,
M.G. of Henderson, Iowa,
R.P. of Davenport, Nebr.,
C.F. of Burlington, Colo.,
L.F. of Denver, Colo.,

the following survive:
Mrs. J.P. Morris of Pomona, Calif., (this is Carrie)
Mrs. Fred Flexer of Burlington, Colo. (Louisa)
and Mrs. W.G. Lambert of Davenport, Nebr. (Lydia)
Her husband and 3 daughters preceded her in death.
27 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren also survive."

Maggie Brammeier and Philander L. Ray married in Montrose County on December 14, 1904.
Erma F. Brammeier and Howard A. Grimes married in Montrose County on June 19, 1907.

One article in the December 1919 Montrose Daily Press included "J. H. Brammeier of Naturita has a position in the senate."
When his mother died in 1923, he was listed as living in Naturty (this would be Naturita, right next to Nucla_
Jacob Henry Brammeier 1851-1935 is buried in Nucla # 67471680, with Emma Melissa (Danford) Brammeier 1857-1933.
Erma Grimes is buried in Nucla 1889-1973 # 66469818.
"Mrs. Erma Florence Grimes, 83, a resident of Nucla-Naturita area since 1894, died Sunday in Valley Manor Nursing Home. She had been a patient there for two years.
She was the widow of Howard A. Grimes, who died in 1964. They married in Nucla June 19, 1906.
Mrs. Grimes was born Erma Brammeier June 4, 1889, at Burlington, Colo. She attended Naturita schools. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ethel B. Gleason of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Robert Davisw of El Cajon, Calif., and Mrs. William Skalla of Denver; two sons, Verdon and William Grimes, both of Yakima, Wash., 19 grandchildren, a number of great and great-great-grandchildren."

Joel was born November 19, 1849 in Madison County, Ohio.
In 1860 Henderson County, Illinois, John H. Morris is 35, Mary J. (Painter Morris 34, Joel 11, Eliza M. 9, Naomi 7,
Ellen 5, Anna J. 2.
John died in Henderson County on June 1, 1861, leaving his widow Mary,
children Joel, Eliza, Naomi, Ellen, Anna and Amos. James Morris
posted security for administering the estate.
Joel is in Henderson County, Illinois in 1870, a farm laborer,
19, with Eliza 17, Naomi 14, Helen 12, and Amos 10. All were born in Ohio. They're living with John 26 and Mary Brown 36 and their two kids.
Mary was born in Ohio.
Mary Jane (Painter) (Morris) Brown 1827-1900
is buried in Griswold, Iowa # 158127979.
So is John Wesley Brown 1842-1921.
Anna Julia (Brown) Driggs 1868-1939 is also buried in Griswold # 1581670113 - Joel's half-sister.
Joel's sister Naomi married John E. Humphrey in Henderson
County, Illinois on August 31, 1876.
They're in Montgomery County, Iowa in 1900, John 47, Naomie 43, Valma 22, Anna B. and Elisha 18, Ella 15, Lorena 10, Glen .
"Neoma" is in Saline County, Nebraska in 1910, widowed,
with son Elisha 26 a barber and daughter Lorena 18.
All three are in Helena, Montana in 1920, where Elisha manages a clothing store.
She
died in Seattle Washington on August 31, 1939, age 85, spouse John E. Humphrey.
She's buried in Portland, Oregon # 90917566.
Another sister Helen Adora "Ella" (Morris) Pendarvis 1856-1921 is buried in Saline County, Nebraska # 81578585.
So is her husband Oren W. Pendarvis 1856-1937.
A brother Amos T. Morris 1858-1929 is buried in Hendrson County, Illinois # 122299289.

Joel cash-claimed a quarter in section 2, 10S 44W, Kit Carson COunty, in 1891.

"Joseph" is a liveryman in 1900 Fillmore County,
Nebraska, born November 1849 in Ohio, married 24 years
to Caroline April 1857 Iowa. Minnie was born March 1878,
Samuel Dec 1884, both in Iowa.
Anna July 1886, Ivia August 1890, Jesse Dec 1894, and Aaron January 1897, all four born in Nebraska.
In 1910, Joel is farming in Fillmore County, 60, with Caroline W. 53, Jessie H 15, and Aaron W. 12.
In 1920, "Joseph" P. Morris is a caretaker for
a cemetery in Pomona, California, 70, with Caroline W. 63 and Caroline's mother Nancy Braumeier 88.
Caroline Wilhelmina (Brammeier) Morris is buried in Pomona, California
1857-1933 , with Joel Painter Morris 1849-1927 # 181776721.
REUBEN
Reuben P. Brammeier proved up a quarter in section 17, 9S 44W in 1894.
When his mother died in 1923, he was living in Davenport, Nebraska.
He's living in Kit Carson County in 1930, with Mabel and son Merle.
He's buried in Niwot, Colorado 1862-1949 # 25631612, with Mabel M. (Danford) 1866-19656.

Lyda A. Brammeier and William G. Lambert married in Kit Carson County on October 26, 1890.

In 1910 Thayer County, Nebraska, Charles is 36, married 8 years to Rosetta 28, both born in IOwa.
Paul E. 7, Hazel M. 5, and Elmer E. 3 were born in COlorado. His mother Nancy , 75, widowed, born in Virginia, is living with them.

Four generations of the Brammeier family. The youngest is Paul Dehn, his mother Pauline Brammeier Dehn, her father John W. Brammeier and his mother Mrs. Brammeier.

In 1888, John W. and his wife Augusta Brammeier delivered a deed of trust to Thomas O. Moffett for land in 11, 10S 44W, and that was to be sold for auction in March 110.
John was in Burlington in 1890

In 1904, John, with an address of Niwot, was running on the American Socialist ticket for Boulder County Assessor. Frank N. Oberding of Louisville was the Democratic candidate, Arthur E. Howe of Lyons the Republican, and J.H. Size of Longmont the Prohibition.
John William Brammeier and Augusta Maud Brammeier had a divorce cse in Boulder on January 11, 1917.

HARVEY
Harvey E. Brammeier, 23, born in Iowa, residing in Colorado, and Maude Luff, 21, born in Nebraska to James Luff and Cary Thomas, married in Saline County, Nebraska on January 19, 1903.
Harvey claimed 80 acres in sections 9, 8S 45W, Kit Carson County, in
1904. Also in 1904, he claimed 80 acres in sections 3 and 10.
In 1910 Kit Carson County Harvey is farming, 30, married eight years to Maude 28 born in Nebraska. Evelina is 6, Alma 4, both born in Colorado.
Harvey is a laborer in an ice plant in Pomona, California in 1920, 40, with Maude 38, Cerelia 18, Alma 14, and Helen 6, all three bon in Colorado.
He's a salesman for an ice plant in 1930, 51, Maude P. 48, and Heleen L. 15.
Harvey, widowed, an ice deliveryman, died of cardiac failure in the Winslow, Arizona hospital on Sept 21, 1945, with multiple fractures from an auto accident on U.S. 66.
Minnie Morris Neal, widow of Thomas Neal, born March 26, 1878 in Hendrson Iowa to Joe Morris and Carrie Brammeier, died in the same accident, apparentsly, to be buried in Pomona.
Her mother Carrie (Brammeier) Morris is buried in
Pomona 1857-1933.
