Robert, dying in 1937, is buried with his wife in Gentry County #192340779.
MATTIE
Mattie M. Adkisson of Burlington and Royden E. Hook of Burlington married in Kit Carson County on May 3, 1921, witnesses Elmer E. Hook and Anna E. Adkisson.
In 1930 Kit Carson County, Royden is managing a servie station,
38, born in Iowa, with Mattie 37 born in Missouri. Keith 8, Emma 6, Warren 5, and Wilbut 1 were born in Colorado.
In 1940 Colorado Springs, Royden is 48,
a district manager, with Mattie Keith, Emma May,
Warren 15, Wilbur 11, and Pauline 9.

September 25, 1985 Colorado Springs "Mary E. Adkisson, 101,
of Colorado Springs died Monday in Pikes Peak Manor.
Services were today in Swan-Law Funeral Home,
501 N. Cascade Ave., with the Rev. Harold Shoemaker
officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Miss Adkisson was born April 20,1884, in Gentry County, Mo.,
and had lived in Colorado Springs since 1950.
Her parents were the late Robert and Emma (Weller) Adkisson.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Miss Adkisson is survived by numerous nieces,
nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews."

William Austin Adkisson 1890-1967 is buried in Colorado Springs,

November 29, 1967 " Funeral services for W. Austin Adkisson,
formerly of
729 E. Kiowa St.,
will be held at
1 pm Thursday, in the Swan Farm Funeral home.
Dr. LeRoy F. Arend will officiate. Burial will
be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Adkisson, 77,
died Tuesday in a local hospital. Born Aug. 4, 1890,
in Gentry County, Mo., he had been a resident of Colorado
Springs since 1950. He formerly lived in Missouri and Kansas.
He was unmarried.
He was affiliated with the First Methodist Church of Colorado Springs
and was active in church work.
Survivors include two sisters, M. Elizabeth Adkisson
and Anna E. Adkisson, both of Colorado Springs;
one brother, Henry Adkisson of El Cajon, Calif.;
one brother-in-law, R. E. Hook of Colorado Springs;
and many nieces and nephews."

Spartanburg, South Carolina
"Bessie Evelyn Adsit, 98, of 112 Sherborne Dr., passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 at her home.
A native of Burlington, Colorado, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Hazel Chapman Adkisson and wife of the late Hurshel Adsit.
Survivors include one son, Larry Adsit (Connie) of Spartanburg, SC; three daughters, LaVerne MacLennan of Spartanburg, Joyce Keeran of Santee, California and Karen Thomson (Bill) of Apopka, Florida; one brother, Bob Adkisson of Sun City, California; 14 grandchildren, 23 great- grandchildren, 16 great- great-grandchildren and predeceased by an infant daughter and two great- granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. The family would like to express their appreciation for the excellent care Interim Healthcare Hospice and Comfort Keepers provided.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Alpine, California."
