OPAL'S FAMILY
George W. Huntley proved up a quarter in seciotn 27, 7S 51W in 1894.
He timber-claimed another in 1901.
In 1900 Kit Carson County, George W. Huntley born Sept 1862 in New Hampshire, married 17 years to Anna E July 1861 Illinois, have Vernon Aug 1884 born in Illinois, Opal A. Oct 1886 in Nebraska, Freda M. July 1889 Mary G. Feb 1892, John J. Mar 1894, Maurice 3, and an infant.
In 1910, George and Anna are both 49, with Freda M. 20, Gladys M. 18, John J. 15, Maurice F. 12, Cecil C. 10, Donald R. 8, and Lloyd D. 5.
George William Huntley 1862-1931 is buried in Flagler # 13485361, and so is Anna Eliza Huntely 1861-1941.
CHARLES' FAMILY
Samuel Jackson and Maria E. Davis married on November 28, 1861 in Hancock County, Illinois.
In 1885 Butler County, Nebraska, Samuel Jackson is 49, Elizabeth 42, Edward 20, Millie 9, and Charles 4.
Charles might be in Cope precinct, Washington County, Colorado in 1900, a laborer with the David Laybourn family, born Spet 1881 in Illinois, both
parents born in Ohio.
CHARLES AND OPAL
Opal A. Huntley and Charles J. Jackson married in Kit Carson County on Dec 1, 1909.
Opal claimed a quarter in section 23, 7S 51W in 1910.
In 1910 Kit Carson County, Charles J. is 28, Opal A. 23,
with his mother Maia E. 64 born in Ohio, father born in Pennsylvania, widowed. She's had six children, three living.
Charles J. Jackson proved up a quarter in section 10, 8S 51W in 1912. That was about three miles south of Opal's claim.
Charles registered for WWI in Flagler, born Sept 14, 1882, farming by himself with Opal Anna Jackson.
In 1920 Kit Carson County, Charles is 37, born in Illinois, Opal 32 in Nebraska. Birta 9, Anna 7, Nellie L. 6, Margaret M. 4, and Dorothy M. eleven months were all born in Colorado.
Charles has a general store in 1930 Flagler, 48, with Opal A. 43, Ruth I. 19, Anna E. 17, Nellie L. 16, Margaret M. 14, Dorothy M. 11, Helen F. 9, and Cecil E. 8.
In 1940 Flagler, Charley is 57, an implement merchant, with Opal 53, Dorothy 21 a telephone operator, and Cecil 18. Anna Huntley, widowed, 78 born in Illinois, is with them.
Charles 1881-1963 died in Colorado Springs,
buried in Flagler # 22825298.
Opal died in Hugo, 1886-1979,
and is buried in Flagler # 22807733.

RUTH
Ruth I. Jackson, 22, married Robert Mitchell on June 26, 1933 in Greeley.
They're in Greeley in 1940, Ruth 29, Robert 32, with Barbara 5 and Dorothy 3. They're living with Robert's mother Susan Mitchell 62 and three siblings.

Dorothy Ann (Mitchell)(Wolfe) Norris born July 29, 1936, died
November 28, 2000 in Durham County, North Crolina.
She had married William A. Wolfe in 1957 and divorced in Houston Texas in June 180.

MARGARET
Margaret Jackson, 19, married Clifford R. Hill on October 9, 1935 in Greeley.
They're in La Salle, Weld County in 1940, Margaret 25, Clifford 32, Doris 3, and Clifford 1.
Clifford 1907-1980 is buried in
Delta, Colorado, # 26458163,
with Margaret M. 1915-2007 # 26458165.
"Clifford Rowland Hill, 73,
a resident of Corey for 30 years,
died Saturday, Oct. 11, 1980, at
the Hilltop Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Hill was born July 22, 1907, at Clinton County, Iowa, when he was a year old,
his family moved to Colorado. He received his education in Greeley.
Mr. Hill was married Oct. 9, 1935, to Margaret Jackson in Greeley. Mrs. Hill survives.
Mr. Hill drove a milk truck for 25 years. He then was employed as a butter maker for the
Surface Creek Creamery. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors: Wife, Margaret Hill of Corey;
four daughters, Doii Pritchard of Colorado Springs, Donna Jones of Carbondale,
Dorothy Riley of Glenwood Springs and Nancy Goetz of Clifton;
one son, Clifford Hill of Colorado Springs; one sister, Mertle Craven of Kersey; and 16 grandchildren."
NELLIE
In 1940 Nellie is in Richardson County, Nebraska, 26, married to Carl Chinn 30 with daughter Kay Carol Chinn1.
Nellie, born March 1, 1914, died as Nelle Lorraine Chinn on February 7, 2004.
FindaGrave # 40532173 "Nelle Lorraine Chinn, age 89, passed away February 7, 2004 in Edmond, Oklahoma. She was born March 1, 1914 in Flagler, Colorado.
Nelle was a waitress for many years, before owning a small cafe in a drugstore in Nicoma Park. She was a longtime member of The Nicoma Park First Baptist Church. They lived in Choctaw for 35 years before moving to Edmond three years ago. She loved to cook and spend time gardening. She was married December 25, 1935 to Carl C. Chinn.
Nelle was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Cay Carol Chinn; 2 sisters, Anna Jackson and Ruth Mitchell; and 1 brother, Cecil Jackson. Survivors include her husband, Carl C. Chinn; son, John C. Chinn and wife Sally; 3 sisters, Helen, Dorothy, and Margaret; and one grandson, Jonathan Scott Chinn.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Nicoma Park First Baptist Church with burial at Memory Lane Cemetery in Harrah, Oklahoma. B"

Arthur Gaylord Watson, working for the Flagler schools, registered for WWII in Flagler, born October 6, 1913 in Lincol County, Kansas, with his wife as reference.

HELEN
"Helen F. Moss was born on January 7, 1921, to Charles and Opal Jackson, north of Flagler on the old Huntley place. Helen had ?ve sisters; Anna, Margaret, Ruth, Nell, Dorothy, and one brother, Cecil. She lived her entire life in Flagler except for the time she was with her husband in Texas during WW II. Helen graduated from Flagler High School in 1939 and was very active in girls' basketball. Shortly after graduating from Flagler High School, she married her high school sweetheart, Donald B. Moss. To this union two boys, Blaine Kent, and Donald Charles, were born.
Helen was a housewife until she and Don went into business along old Highway 24, later Interstate 70. She continued to work the business after Don passed away and retired due to declining health.
During her early years, she was active in girls' athletic and academic and music studies. She had a beautiful voice and when she was younger, sang at many weddings and funerals. She was thrilled to go to New York City to see the opera at Carnegie Hall. She was active in the American Auxiliary and was a member of many pitch and pinochle clubs and had a love for bowling. Her beloved Denver Broncos brought up great joy and she loved defending them to the members of her family who were Oakland Raider fans.
Helen loved her work at Don's Liquors and deeply appreciated her many friends who stopped in to chat. She spent many, many hours with her sister-in-law, Zenelda Heid, playing cards, talking, traveling, ?shing and many other activities. She was the kindest, most considerate of people and after her grandkids and great grandkids, friends and friendships were of the utmost value to her. Throughout the years she was blessed with grandchildren and great grandchildren and took joy in their accomplishments and successes.
Helen is survived by her sons, Blaine and wife Sandra Kossler, of California and D.C. and Carol of Flagler, CO lots of grandchildren and great grandchildren, Her grandchildren include Dallas Moss, and Kimberlee Castro of California, Doug Moss (Sandy) from Fowler, Colorado, and Saundra (Stacey) Moss, of Buena Vista, Colorado. Great grandchildren were Sabreena Moss, Dallas Blaine Moss, Champ Moss, Chandler Castro, Chase Castro, John Chapman Moss, Morgan Moss, Bethany Moss, Lindsey Moss, Shea Moss, Seth Moss, Jayci Jo Hollenbaugh, Celby Hollenbaugh, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Helen passed away happy and peacefully surrounded by her family and friends on Sunday, January 13, 2013.

Cecil registered for WWII in Greeley, working for brother-in-law Clifford Hill.
Cecil E. Jackson and Lola E. Warren married in Kit Carson County on Janaury 5, 1958.
He's buried in Flagler 1922-1967 # 13484219. "Pvt US Marine Corps Res. World War II. Cecil was the sheriff of Flagler in 1967. I remember he was taking down the Christmas decorations on Main Street when he fell from the ladder in front of Otteman's Market."
August 29, 1957 Wray, Colorado "Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bowland became the parents of a daughter on Thursday, August 22, who accompanied her mother home on Monday. "
July 1958 Castle Rock "Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bowland and children of Goodiand, Kansas visited
Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Caldwell, Thursday and Friday. Their little daughter, Kathy, who had been visiting the
Caldwells accompanied them home."
1958 Castle Rock "Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Caldwell spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bowland
and children at Vona. Mr. Bowland accompanied them home and remained overnight."
1960 "Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bowland and Kathy of Akron visited Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Caldwell Friday."
June 1960 "Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Caldwell went to Akron, Sunday to visit the Lloyd Bowland family,
most especially their new granddaughter. She is Julie Lee Bowland who arrived May 23.
Needless to say, her grandparents are very proud of her."
June 1960 "Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Caldwell took their little granddaughter, Cathy Solomon,
back to her home at Akron Sunday and visited the Lloyd Bowland family.
Cathy visited here for two weeks with the Caldwells."
Lola E. Jackson and Raymond E. Tappan married in Yuma County on July 3, 1968.
Raymond 1922-1998
Lola was born Sept 5, 1927 in Indianola, Nebraska to Ernest E. Warren and Thelma D. Odell, Lola Evelyn Ryda in 1943, Kephard in 1946, Bowland in 1958, and Jackson in 1961.
Lola, wife of Lloyd Bowland, died December 20, 2004, obituary in Briggsdale, Colorado. Children Chris Schultz,
Charles Jackson, Jackie Halley, Nancy Crispin, and Joella Tappan.
