"Former Rockford Resident Dies in Oklahoma From Heart Disease.
ROCKFORD, April 11.--Burial services for William Kibe, former resident here and for the past 16 years a resident of Claremore, Okla., who died at his home there early Wednesday morning of heart disease and asthma, were held in Riverside cemetery Friday afternoon in charge of the Rev. Mr. Ferris, pastor of the Methodist church at Marble Rock.
Out of town people who attended the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bishop, Lincoln, Nebr., Mrs. William Lohr, one son and two daughters, Belle Plaine; Allen Kibe, 'ora and Kittle Lohr and Mr. and Mrs. Vern Jubb, Mason City; John Allen and Mae Hoyle, Greene; Mr. and Mrs. Everett Lamb, Mrs. Annie Smith, Bruce Goss, Mr. and Mrs. Garber and Mrs. Julias Heft, Marble Rock."

ORIS' SISTER "Annie Catherine Kibe, the daughter of Henry and Catherine Kibe, was born January 5, 1864, in Rock- fordge, Center county, Pennsylvania, and departed this life on February 25, 1936, age 72 years, at the home of her son, Grover, in Alma, Nebraska, where she had gone to spend the winter.
In 1876 she came to Iowa with her parents, where she grew to young womanhood. On February 21, 1882, she was united in marriage with Julius Heft, and the young couple took up their residence in Scott township, Floyd county, Iowa. To this union were born three sons: Roy E. Heft, Bryan, Texas; Grover Heft, Alma, Nebraska; Jesse Heft, Marble Rock, Iowa. When her three sons were small, a little girl was adopted into her home, Maude, now Mrs. C. E. Dawson of Rockford, Iowa, to whom a loving mother's care was given. A few years later her heart was gladdened by the birth of a daughter, Gail, now Mrs. Lee Lamb of Marble Rock, Iowa. Later in life she again opened her heart to make a home for another child, Hetty, now Mrs. Howard Morphew of Chicago, Illinois. Annie Kibe Heft was loved by all who know her. Her chief interests in life were her home and her church. As a friend she waa loyal and true. As a housewife she was noted for her hospitality. As a Christian woman her life was an example of generosity and right living. Shortly after her marriage both she and her husband, who preceded her to the Great Beyond on December 21, 1929."

Oris Allen Kibe, son of Wm. H. Kibe and Mary Etta Lohr, married Maud Evelyn Willey on Sept 10, 1905 in Cerro Gordo County.

In 1910 Kit Carson County, Oris A. Kibe is farming, 34, born in Iowa, married five years to Maude E. 32 born in Iowa.
Oris claimed a quarter in section 17, 7S 50W in 1912, and another in 1914 next to it.

Oris Allen Kibe registered for WWI in Mason City, Iowa, born Oct 8, 1876, a teamster for Marshall Oil Company, with Maude living at 735 12st NE,, Mason City.

In 1920 Mason City, Oris is 43, Maude E. 41, and a cousin Kittie Lohr, a teacher, 24 born in Iowa

1923 Mason City directory has " Kibe Oris A (Maude), attndt Highway Oil Co fill sta, r 735 12th N E."

In 1930 Mason City, Oris is 53, Maud 51, daughter Betty J. 8.

In 1940 Oris is a painter, 63, Maud 61, Betty Jean 18, and uncle John Willey 86 born in Wisconsin.

1942 "Mrs. Kenneth Alcorn and infant son, Kenneth Earl, of Waukegan, Illinois, are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Kibe, 735 Twelfth Street northeast."

Oris is buried in Mason City 1876-1949 # 7503598, Maud 1878-1972 # 7503596.
October 4, 1949 "O. A. Kibe, 72, of 320 3rd N. W., died at a local hospital Monday morning, following a severe heart... Mr. Kibe was born Oct. 8, 1876, at Rockford, Iowa, the only son of William and Mary Kibe. Surviving are his wife, Maude, a daughter, Betty, and her husband, and 2 grandchildren, Kenny and Cathy Alcorn, and one sister, Mrs. Roy Bishop, all of Mason City. Funeral services will be held at the Major Memorial chapel, Wednesday at 2:30 p. m., with Doctor Lloyd A. Gustafson, pastor of the First Methodist church, officiating. The Major funeral home in charge. "

August 7, 1972 Mason City "Mrs. O. A. (Maude Evelyn) Kibe, 93, a former Mason City resident, died Saturday at Winter Haven, Fla. Born Aug. 8,1878, near Mason City, she was the daughter of Harry H. and Henrietta Barney Willey. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Betty Alcorn, Winter Haven; two grandchildren, five greatgrandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Roy (Bernice) DeReus, Winter Haven; two brothers, Frank N. Willey, Carmichael, Calif., and Claude E. Willey, Mason City. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Major Memorial Chapel. Fred Barrick, lay minister of First United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. The organist will be Mrs. E. E. Ehlers. Visitation will be at the chapel from 9 a.m. Tuesday until time for the service."


Betty Jeanne Kibe, born in Iowa to Joseph Steil and Rose Householder, married Kenneth Earl Alcorn in Detroit, Michigan on November 9, 1941.

Betty J. Alcorn and Kenneth E. Alcorn divorced in Polk County Florida in September 1963.

ORIS' SISTER

1950 Mason City "Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bishop, 633 3rd N. E., whose golden wedding anniversary will be Wednesday were guests of honor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Schlosser at a family dinner given Feb. 4 by nieces and nephews of the couple. Yellow and white were the colors used in the decorations with yellow roses and gold colored candles as the centerpiece. A 3-tier wedding cake decorated in yellow with and "50" white and inscribed was served.
Members of the family present for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hoil of Marble Rock, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Hoil and son, Terry, of New Hampton, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hoil of Emmetsburg, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Jubb and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jubb of Mason City.
Mr. and Mrs. Bishop were married Feb. 8, 1900, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Kibe, near Terril. After their marriage, Mr. Bishop farmed for 15 years near Rockford and in 1915 they moved to Lincoln, Nebr., where they lived for 30 years. He was manager of the Pomona Fruit farm for 6 years and then entered the hardware business and continued in it until his retirement. In 1944 they moved to their present home in Mason City. The couple was remembered with congratulatory cards and gifts and by a poem composed for the occasion by Mrs. Ruth Morrison Fullerton."
