In 1900 Jewell County, Kansas, Cyrus S. Courtright is farming, born Feb 1840 in New York, married 20 years to Coara Oct 1859 Illinois. Her five kids are William F. October 1882, May M., May 1887, Pearl July 1891, Oscar S. Oct 1893, and Paul Feb 1899, all born in Kansas.

In 1910 Kit Carson County, William is farming, 27, with Cora 50, Pearl 18, Osar S. 16. Paul R. 11, and Rex $. 8.
Cyrenius Smith Courtright 1840-1909 is buried in Jewell County, # 6939880 says he died in Guide Rock, Nebraska. "He fought in the Civil War as an Illinois Volunteer from DeKalb County. Married twice. (m.1/1/1866 Laura Ann Plumb - Blackberry, Il) (m. July 13, 1879 Cora Shaw - Holmwood,KS). Three children by first marriage, Arthur Leland, Anna Blanch, Flora B. by his second marriage, William Faye, Mary Mildred, Pearl Dee, Oscar Smith, Paul Revere and Rex Rolland."

Cora claimed a tract in section 30, 7S 50W in 1916.

In 1920 Kit Carson County, Cora is 60, widowed, with Paul R. 20, Oscr S. 26, Pearl 28, and Rex R. 17, all born in Kansas. Daugher? Nellie M. 5 was born in Colorado.

Cora (Shaw) Courtright, per # 6939899, is buried in Mankato, Jewell County 1859-1930 "She and her husband, Cyrenius Smith Courtright are buried side by side and share a headstone. They were also First Cousins." "


WILLIAM

In 1900 Greene County, Iowa, Edward LaRue is 39, born in French Canada, with Jennie 36 New York. Lulu is 13, Virgel 8, Oliver W. 5, Violet 1, and George seven months.

In 1910 Clay County, Minnesota, Virgil La Rue is 19, with parents Edward D. LaRue of Canada, 52, and Jennie 48 of New York.
Edward and Jennie are farming in Kit Carson County in 1920, with Oliver 25, Vern 18, and Violet 22, all three born in Iowa.
Edward is buried in Flagler 1858-1933 # 13984462.

Oliver Wendel LaRue 1895-1959 is buried in Flagler, # 120783720. SSDI has him born April 13, 1895 in Guthrie Center Iowa to Ed LaRue and Jennie Jordan.
George LaRue is in Kit Carson County in 1940, with Florence and Marjorie 16.
Martha Florence Wikoff was born January 1, 1900 in Lewis County, Idaho to Frank Wikoff and Florence Heath.
Florence Wikoff 1865-1929 is buried in Glenn County, California # 12121320, with Frank 1859-1956 # 12121319.

William F. Courtright and Virgil L. La Rue, both of Flagler, Colorado, married in Kit Carson County on December 23, 1914.

William claimed a quarter in 29, 7S 50W in 1913, and another 40 acres in section 33 in 1922.

Next household to Cora and her kids in 1920 Kit Carson, William F. Courtright is 36 born in Kansas, with Virgel 29 Iowa, Virginia 3 and Cora J. eight months both born in Colorado.

In 1930 Kit Carson County, William, 47, is farming, with Virgel L. 39, V. Fay 14, Dora J. 11, W. Dale (must be William Dale marryingEdna Irene Burian) 8, and E. June 4.

The stone in the Flagler cemetery with Zenas E. Courtright 1920-1921 and Virginia F. Courtright 1915-1935 must be William's and Virgel's kids.

In 1940 they're still farming, with Dale W. 18, Elizabeth J. 14, and Lodema P. 6.

William 1882-1963 is buried in Flagler, # 22600731.

PEARL


Pearl, 38, married Samuel D. Howard, 50, in Kit Carson County on December 23, 1929.

They're in Kit Carson County in 1930, with Nellie Courtright 26. Pearl Howard 48 and Nellie Courtright 26, are in Flagler in 1940.

1975 Yuma

Pearl Dee (Courtright) Howard, per # 27508164, is buried in Flagler 1891-1984, with Samuel D. Howard 1872-1936.

"Nellie May Courtright, 91, of Akron died Monday at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush.
Ms. Courtright was born March 9, 1914, to Samuel and Pearl Dee (Courtright) Howard at her grandmother's sod house in Flagler. Her childhood days were spent on the farm. She attended Victory Heights and Prairie Gem country schools through the eighth grade. In 1936, she moved with her mother into Flagler after the death of her father in an automobile accident.
Ms. Courtright loved to cook, which she did in many restaurants. She also worked for the WPA cooking for school children. She later moved to Stratton, Otis and eventually to Yuma. Ms. Courtright moved to Pioneer Haven in Akron May 1, 1988. She loved attending all parties and spending time with all of her friends.
She joined the Foursquare Church in Akron.
Ms. Courtright liked to play Bingo, listen to favorite hymns and go out with friends and family.
She is survived by her daughter, Zadine Elliott of Akron; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
Ms. Courtright was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 10:30 a.m. from the Akron Foursquare Gospel Church with Rev. Mike Kinney officiating. Interment will follow in the Akron Cemetery with Brenner Funeral Home of Akron handling the arrangements. "

Oscar Pat Courtright 1893-1962 is buried in Flagler # 13492524.


PAUL

Paul registered for WWI in Flagler, born Feb 2, 1899.

He married Alice M. Hodge in Denver on June 24, 1923.

In 1930 he's an auto mechanic in Denver, 31, with Alice 29 born in Nebraska.

Paul is buried in Wheat Ridge, 1899-1973 # 6940028 " son of Cyrenius Smith Courtright and Cora Shaw. He was married to Alice M. Hodge and to Leveta "Fern" Halsey. He and Alice had one son, Paul Deane Courtright (b. 9Sep, 1931)."

REX

Rex 1901-1969 is buried in Brush, Colorado # 70231090.
