He must have been originally buried in Littleton, Colorado, where the cemetery has a record of Mrs. Nellie Konkle buring a space for her husband Alvin Addison Konkle.
In 1940 Littleton Colorad, Nellie is widowed, 60, Clifford 29 is a washerman in a woolen mill, Raymond 27 a warehouseman in a woolen mill. Eleanor D. 24 isborn in IOwaa (in Ceston Iowa in 1935) is probably Clifford's wife.
Alvin's parents "John Wesley Konkle and Louise Jane "Jennie" Koontz were married November 2, 1869 in Edgar County, Illinois. John and Jennie had nine children: Alvin A. Konkle (1870-1939 ), Louise Pearl "Lulu" (Konkle) Persinger (1872-1948), twins Laura M. Konkle (1877- ) and Cora S. (Konkle) Ingham (1877-1947), Bertha Louella Konkle (1881- ) , Verda Ellise (Konkle) Hook (1884-1065), and Alma Jane (Konkle) Sariff (1887-1969). "

Raymond was a freshman at Burlington High School in 1927.

Raymond L. Konkle died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at Mercy Medical Center-North Campus, Clinton. He was employed at Central Steel from 1941 till his retirement at the manager of the hydraulic division in 1976. He was born Sept. 14, 1912, in Burlington, Colo. He married Elizabeth Miller in 1948 in Maquoketa. She died in 2001. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Clinton.
Survivors include nephews, Bill Konkle, Clinton, and Jack Miller, Newark, Del.; and nieces, Nancy Poppe, Cedar Rapids, and Cathy Tubbs, Iowa City.
DOROTHY
Miss Dorothy Lois Konkle, of 636 3rd Ave. S, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999, at Samaritan Hospital-North, Clinton. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Clinton Chapel of Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. at the Clinton Chapel of the funeral home with an Eastern Star service at 7 p.m. Miss Konkle retired in 1978 after 39 years as an office worker with Central Steel and Tube Company. Dorothy Konkle was born Aug. 31, 1915, in Burlington, Colo. A memorial fund has been established. Survivors include a brother, Raymond, Clinton; a niece, Nancy Poppe, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and a nephew, Clifford "Bill" Konkle, Clinton.
