Stinson Scobee, father of Stephen, grandfather of Delila, is buried in
Putnam County, Missouri, 1816-1863 # 1409006715.
"Stinson first married Hannah M. Hayes. They had 3 sons and she died during the birth of her daughter, Martha Ann. He sold or traded 40 acres of his land to a cabinet maker to make her a coffin.
He later married widow Nancy "Ann" Beard (Coffee) who had 4 daughters. Together they had 6 children. "
Stephen Scobee is in Putnam County, Missouri in 1870, with mother Nancy, 50. SL. J. is 25 a farm hand, H.F. 18, N.W 16 - both daughters.
S. J. and B. J. are 14, both boys, and daughter L. is 8.
"Safronia Evelena Scobee married William Sherman Young Feb. 28, 1891 in Putnam Co.,
MO. Besides Noah, they had Dennis Eugene, Gladys, Rollie Steven & Ruby.
Safronia was born July 1871 and died Feb 15, 1932, in Nowata, OK.
Her parents were Stephen J. Scobee known as "Hawk" and Matilda Ellen Erickson."
In 1880 Putnam County, Missouri, Delila E. "Scoby" is 40, with Stephen J. 30 and Matilda E. 22. Sophronia E. is 8, Nancy Ann 7, and Susan A. 2.
In 1880 Putnam County, Missouri, Wm. V. Byers is farming, 49, born in
Ohio, with Margaret Byers 43. Sarah Jane is 16,
Jacob 10, and Ezra Jeptha Byers 3. Married daughter Mary Lucinda Pierce is 26, Alice Viola Pierce eight months old.
He very well could be the William Byers who claimed a quarter
in section 24, 8 South 45 West, Kit Carson County, in 1891, although it is possible that
the famous Denver newspaper publisher William N. Byers submitted that
claim.
In 1900 Putnam County, William is farming, born July 1830, with Margaret August 18336o, both born in Ohio. She's had twelve children, five living.
Next household is Ezra Byers, born Sept 1876, married two years to Sarah August 1879, and William October 1898, all three born in Missouri.
In 1910, William and Margaret are still in Putnam County, living alone.

Then Lewis, age 86, married Mary E. Sparks, 75, both of Kirksville, married on May 26, 1956.
