(Emma was in Shelby County in 1900, 52, with Cyrenus Scratch 60. Her widowed daughter Allia 31 is with them, including her son Lee Smach 5.
Lee is in Yuma County Colorado in 1910, a farm laborer, 19, with Joseph 61 and Lydia E. Smock 52.
Joseph died in Yuma County in 1922.)

May 18, 1898 Shelbyville, Missouri "Mrs. Morgan Barnett, who lived north of Bethel,
and who had been sick for several months, died last Saturday morning at 1:30.
Funeral and burial took place at Shiloh Baptist Church at 2 p. m last Monday, conducted by Rev. Smith of Oakland church.
July 20, 1898 "Mrs. Eliza Virginia Barnett, aged 57 years, 5 months and 1 day.
Deceased was born in Mason county, Kentucky, and moved with her parents to Missouri
in 1852; was married to Morgan Barnett Nov. 24, 1859.
She was the mother of 6 children, 1 daughter and 5 sons ;
the daughter and two sons preceeded her over the silent river to the
shadowless shore. She had been a member of tbe Metbodist church, Shiloh,
for more than 30 years. She will be missed as mother, neighbor, friend.
She suffered much and long"
MARVIN

and next household is Chester Barnett 26
born in Missouri. Chester is almost certainly a nephew.
Marvin claimed a quarter in section 13, 6S 50W in 1912.
In 1940 Kit Carson County, Thomas V. is widowed, 66, and his brother Marvin 69 is living with them, single.
Marvin 1870-1957 is buried in Flagler # 13485274.

Thomas Victor Barnett was born February 11, 1874 in Bethel, Shelby County, to Morgan Barnett and Virginia McGlasson.

married to Susan L. July 1869, living with father Morgan October 1829. Chester - Morgan's grandson born June 1883 in Mis with them. all four born in Missouri.

Thomas 1874-1944 is buried in Flagler # 13485288, with Susie L. (Hougland) Barnett 1868-1929.
Leslie Culpin of Marion County and Ella May Barnett of Shelby County, married in Knox County on Deember 20, 1878.
The Emmet E. Barnett buried in Shiloh, Shelby County, Missouri was the son of a Culpin, per his death certificate. SO he waas the on e in 1880 Shelby County, 1, with father Leslie M.Culpin and Ella W. 19.
One researcher wrote "They had two children, Emmett born in 1880 and Lee J. Ella died and Leslie moved south and remarried. "
