Chester Limon and Nina R. (Carlo) Barnett, 6 South 49 West



His mother might be the Ella M. Barnett 1860-1889 buried in Shiloh Cemeter, Shelby County, Missouri.

Eugene Barnett 1868-1891 is also buried there, and so is Gadsden Barnett dying May 10, 1893.
In 1900 Shelby County, Missouri, Morgan Barnett is widowed, 70, with son Thomas 26 and his wife Susan 30. Chester L. Barnett, grandson born June 1883 is with him. "Chester L. Barnett, 70, of 166 North Davis street, died at the Ottumwa hospital at 5 a.m. today, May 18, 1954. Born in Shelby county, Missouri, June 9, 1883, he was an orphan and was reared by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Barnett. He was married to Nina Ruth Carlo January 26, 1918, at Albia. She survives. He was a former employe of the Hardsocg Cardox Corp., and was a member of the Shiloh Baptist church at Bethel, Mo. Surviving besides his wife are one son, Harry L. Barnett of Ottumwa, and one granddaughter, Mary Jo Barnett. He was preceded in death by one brother, Elmer. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Johnson funeral chapel in charge of the Rev. Laverne Morris, pastor of the Davis Street Christian church. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers."

Chester claimed a quarter in 17, 6S 49W in 1914.

Chester L. Barnett, son of Morgan Barnett and V. Turner, married Nina A. Carlo in Albia, Monroe County Iowa on January 26, 1918.

In 1920 they're in Crowley County, Colorado, CHester 32 born in Missouri, Nina 20 born in Iowa, and Harry two months old.

In 1930 Chester is working in a washing machine factory in Newton, Iowa, 39, with Nina R. 30 and harry L. 11.
