Peter J. Luginbill cash-claimed a quarter in 25, 6S 50W in 1910.

FRED

Frederick Luginbill married Ruby E. Sypherd on October 13, 1909 in Flagler, Colorado.

Ruby was in Johnson County, Kansas in 1900, age 12, with Charles 50, Emma 45, Allen 18, James E. 15, Cora E. 14, Ruby 12, Harry C. 11, Orpha m. 9, Jessie A. 6, and Charley eleven months.

In 1910 Kit Carson County, Frederick Luginbill is 28, just married to Ruby, 21, both born in Nebraska.
Fred proved up two quarters in 20 and 21, 6S 50W in 1913.

In 1920 Richardson County, Nebraska, Fred is 38, Ruby 32, William 9 - born in Nebraska?, Harold 8, Fred 6, Rosella 4, Lee 1 and Lyle 1. All were born in Nebraska.

In 1930 Nemaha County, Kansas, Fred is 48, Ruby 42, Fred Jr. 15, Rosella 13, Lillie 11, Lyle 11, Allen 9, George 5, and Eva 1. The last three were born in Kansas.

JOHN
John Frederick Luginbill 1881-1946 is buried in Seneca, Kansas # 143493342.
Son of Peter and Elizabeth Luginbill. Married to Ruby Sypherd on Oct. 13, 1909 in Flager, Colorado.
They were the parents of nine children: William, Harold, Fritz, George, Allen, Lyle, Lily, Rose Zella, and Eva.

Services for William H. "Bill" Luginbill, 80, Seneca, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Lauer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Seneca City Cemetery.
Mr. Luginbill died Monday at Country View Estates Nursing Home, where he had lived since June.
He was born July 28, 1910, in a sod house in Flagler, Colo. His family later moved to Bern, where he attended high school.
Mr. Luginbill did construction work in Nebraska and Kansas; made railroad ties in Arkansas; worked at dairies in California; and worked for plumbing, construction and milling companies in Seneca.
In 1955, he joined the Seneca Police Department. He retired in 1975 as chief of the department.
After retirement he drove a school bus. He retired from the Seneca Fire Department in 1980 after 30 years of service.
Mr. Luginbill was a member of the United Methodist Church at Seneca and the Knights of Pythian in Bern.
He married Mavis Wilson on Sept. 21, 1940, in Seneca. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include four daughters, Ruby Dyer, Newkirk, Okla., Roberta Luginbill and Penny Kramer, both of Lawrence, and Joyce Pethan, Kohler, Wis.; a brother, George Luginbill, Sabetha; three sisters, Rose Zella Boeding, Lilly Claas and Eva Krotzinger, all of Seneca; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Rose Zella Boeding, 96, of Seneca, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2012. She was born on May 3, 1916 in Humbolt, NE, the daughter of John Frederick and Ruby E. Sypherd Luginbill. Rose Zella married Norbert Nub Boeding on August 7, 1940 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca. He died on September 14, 1994. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Kay; She is survived by a son, Joe (Darlene) Boeding of Topeka; seven daughters, Karen (Danny) Henry of Seneca, Judy (Vern) Hutfles of Onaga, Paula (Eldon) Fleury of Seneca, Donna( Frank) Maskil of Bonner Springs, Kansas, Pat (Danny) Deters of Corning, Joanie (Rick) Clelland of Topeka, and Marilyn (Tom) Nolte of Centralia; 23 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Eva Krotzinger, of Seneca. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Saturday, July 14th, at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in Seneca. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Eva I. Krotzinger, 84, of Seneca, Kansas, died Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca.
She was born on April 9, 1928 in Seneca, the daughter of John Frederick and Ruby E. Sypherd Luginbill. She graduated from Seneca Public High School in 1946. As a young girl she worked for a family for 5 cents a day plus half a gallon of skim milk. After high school graduation she went to work for Judge Slocum.
On June 8, 1947 Eva married Jacob C. Krotzinger, whom she met when both were attending the wedding of a friend. The couple started the first garbage collection route in Seneca. In 1970, when Eva’s children were grown, she started a thriving business out of her home, selling wedding invitations, supplies and gifts, and continued to do so until 1995.
Eva was a generous and caring individual who enjoyed meeting and helping people. She and her husband delivered cookie and candy plates to home-bound people during the holidays, amounting to more than 300 plates in their final year of this community service.
Eva was a member of the United Church of Christ, VFW Auxiliary, Legion Auxiliary and the Eastern Star, all in Seneca. She loved to play cards and to bake for her family. She enjoyed fishing, and giving to her community whenever she had a chance. Family was very important to Eva and she relished time spent with family.
She is survived by her son James and his wife Cindy of Seneca; three daughters, Marcia Krotzinger of Seneca, Carol Niehues of Sabetha, and Diane and her husband Max Hermesch of Sabetha; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Eva considered her longtime neighbors her extended family, especially Don and Mary Doris Strathman and their children.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jacob on April 17, 1994; her sons, Lyle on August 31, 1962 and Charles R. "Charlie" on August 18, 2008; her son-in-law Mike Niehues on July 9, 2007; brothers, William, Harold, Fritz, George, Allen and Lyle Luginbill; and sisters, Lily Claas and Rose Zella Boeding.
Funeral service will be held at 10 AM Monday, July 23, at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca, with a visitation from 6 to 7 PM on Sunday, July 22, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Seneca City Cemetery.

Lomie Juel Todd, per one tree, was born September 14, 1891 at Shelbina, Misouri, dying September 18, 1927 in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Loma Todd married Peter Luginbill on September 23, 1908 in Kit Carson County.

In 1910 Kit Carson County, Peter Luginbill is 25, born in Nebraska, with Lomie 16 Missouri. They have Charles eight months old, born in Nebraska.

Peter claimed a quarter in 25, 6S 50W in 1910.

One tree said she had Wilma and Willis, born and dying in 1918.
In 1920 Richardson County, Nebraska, Peter is 35, Loima 26, Charles 10, Kenneth 5, and Roberta 3, all three kids born in Nebraska.

Loma 1893-1927 is buried in Richardson County # 47582917.

1928 Lincoln "A jury in Judge Broady’s court Saturday atternoon returned a verdict of $8,000 for the plaintiff in the suit of Peter J. Luginbill, administrator of the estate of his wife, Loma Luginbill, against C. H. Hoit and Castle, Roper, and Matthews, for the death of Mrs. Luginbill. Mrs. Luginbill was injured last fall about ten miles north of Lincoln on Fourteenth street when a car driven by Roper and a car driven by Mr Luginbill collided. Mrs. Luginbill was so badly injured that she died the next day. Both sides claimed the other’s negligence caused the acident. Mr Luginbill sued for $25,000."

Pete is widowed in 1930 Humboldt, Nebraska, and is married in 1940 Richardson County, h Mary M. 35 born in Kansas. Mary's kids John 17, Daisy 14, Frederick 12 and Lloyd Blevens 11 are with them, and they have Wayne Luginbill 8 and Francis 5.
Peter J. Luginbill 1884-1960 is buried in Nemaha County, Kansas # 175650562, with Mary M. (Willey) Luginbill 1906-1980.

Charles Luginbill is a coffee roaster in a grocery wholesaler in Lancaster County, Nebraska in 1940, 30, with Eva 36, Levine 15, and Joync 4.

Francis L. Luginbill, 80, of Falls City, NE, passed away May 9, 2015 at Falls City. He was born March 10, 1935 at Falls City, NE to the late Peter and Mary (Willey) Luginbill.
He married Tina Vanderpool and they were later divorced. He married Christina Hudson on May 30, 1973 at Alamogordo, NM. She passed away April 1, 2010
Francis was raised in Richardson County and enlisted in the U. S. Air Force where he received his GED. He was honorably discharged and retired in 1974. He worked various jobs and then attended Southeast Community College at Lincoln and graduated in 1980 as a master welder. He worked as a welder in various places throughout Nebraska. He retired in 1992 and moved to Falls City and has lived there since. He was a member of the Verdon Congregational Church and had been a deacon as well as a member of DAV Chapter 43 of Falls City.
Francis is survived by his sons, Charles and his wife Marsha of Lincoln, Leory and his wife Val, Peter and his wife Lynn both of Washington, DC, daughters, Patricia Luginbill of Houma, LA, Jackie Schaeffer and her husband Bob of Norwalk, OH, Kimberly Lange of Lincoln, step-children, Michael Patnode and Tammy Carter and her husband Dave both of Falls City, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, John Carter, Lloyd and Fred Blevins and Wayne Luginbill, sister, Daisy Dunn, grandsons, Nicholas Luginbill, Marc Cepurnieks, D.J. Daigle, granddaughter, Jill Patnode.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 10:30 AM at First Christian Church with Reverend Fay Ann Blaylock officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery. Military graveside honors by Falls City Ceremonial Honor Guard.
