My Grandfather's name was Charles Hubert Power. He was married to Una P. Crist.
He had six children. Leo Monroe Power, Velma Power (Ahrendt), Hubert Cleo "Curly" Power, Della Laverne Power (Cagle), Leo M. Power, Jimmy Geraldine Power (Quiriconi), and my Father Kenneth Riley Power.

December 1964 - Velma Ahrendt, 33, of 112 Ross Street, San Rafael, California wife of Harry L. Ahrendt, was treated at San Rafael General Hospital yesterday for two razor blade slashes of her left wrist.


Jimmy Geraldine Quiriconi born Dec 15, 1929, died July 20, 1989 in Washington County, Oregon.

Della LaVerne Power of Clatsop County, Oregon, married Elbert William Cagle of Multnomah County, Oregon in August 1936 in Vancouver, Washington. Della is in Columbia County, Oregon in 1940, 23, married to Elbert W. 35 Illinois. They have William 2 and Darlene 1, both born in Oregon.

"William L. Cagle, 71, died July 7, 2009 in Anchorage, Alaska after a long bout of cancer. William was born January 23, 1938 to Elbert and Della L. Cagle in Astoria, Ore. He attended Wahkiakum High School in Cathlamet. After a brief stint in the army he lived in the Wahkiakum area and moved to Alaska and worked jobs in the railroad, post office, etc. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers. Buried at Fort Richardson, Alaska. "

Peter Power, one of Our best farmers who contracted measles, a few weeks since, has been steadily failing until Sunday morning, April 9th, when He died. Mr. Powers, by energy and ability, had acquired a neat property and when He was apparently just ready to enjoy the fruits of His labors, He was called to say good bye to His family and friends. He leaves a large family of children.

1910 Burlington, Colorado "O.A. Hoard, of Cherokee, Iowa, arrived Saturday and will spend a week as the guest of his cousin, George Power." (In 1907 the Drs. Hoard were practicing in Cherokee Iowa, - American Osteopathic Association.) One tree says "ORISON ALONZO HOARD SEP 1846 DIED AUG 22 1904 - another tree said died in 1924. 1910 "Over one hundred people assembled at the country home of George Power on Monday for a Fourth of July picnic, music and games furnished the amusement and a very enjoyable time reported."

When his brother Levi died in 1927, survivors included "Two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Ballou, who is very ill at present; Mrs. G.W. Tuttle of Chase Mills and one brother, George Power of Colorado "

In 1930 George is a hotel porter in Colorado Springs, with Retta, Stanley driving a coal truck, and Mills M.
1937 Massena, New York "George D. Power, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, who is visiting friends and relatives here,- spent with G. W. Tuttle. "

In 1940 Colorado Springs, George and Eretta have no occupations, and Milo is a clerk is a clerk in a grocery store.

George 1866-1943 # 35031280 and Eretta E. 1878-1946 are buired in COlorado Springs.
So is Stanley William Power -1908-1971 # 35031282. and Ester L. 1914-1966.

Milo Alexander Power, born Feb 3, 1911 at Burlington, Colorado, died in Weslaco, Texas April 26, 1978 - he was a grocery warehouseman, son of George D. Power and Eretta McGee, wife Isabella.
