ALVINA'S FATHER WHO DIED IN BURLINGTON January 19, 1953 Beatrice, Nebraska "William Henry Pingel, son of Hans and Mary Pingel, was born in 1874, at Ki.el, Wisc., where he was baptized, and confirmed in the Reformed Church at the age of 15 years. In early manhood, in the year 1890 he came with his mother and step-father to Harbine, Neb., where they settled on a farm. On April 18, 1900 he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Walters. To this union eight children, four sons and four daughters were born, one son and one daughter .. Mr. Pingle was received as a member of Hope Church at Harbine in the year 1901, and remained a member of the church during the many years that he lived here. He was engaged in farming near Harbine until 1946, when he and Mrs. Pingel moved to Harbine. On April 18, 1950, Mr. and Mrs. Pingel observed their golden wedding anniversary in their home in Harbine. On October 4 of this year they gave up their home In Harbine, and went to Kanorado, Kan., to make their home with their daughter, Mrs. Elmer Fasse. After a short illness Mr. Pingel passed away at the Memorial Hospital in Burlington, Colo., on December 26, 1952, at 9:30 p. m., having reached the age of 78 years. 5 months and 4 days. He leaves: his wife: six children, Mr. Edwin Pingel of Steele City, Mrs. Elfrieda Fasse of Kanorado. Kan., Mrs. Alvina Hafer of El Monte, Cal., Mrs. Hilda Stahl of Harbine, Mr. William Pingel Jr.. of Salt Lake City, Utah, Mr. Arnold Pingel of Emmet, Ida.; three sisters, Mrs. Tillie Riemer of Milwaukee. Wise., Mrs. Minnie Arpke of Beatrice. Mrs. Hulda Dyer of Lincoln; two brothers, Mr. Herman Pingel of Jamestown, N. D., Mrs. Lou pj nRe i???? of Beatrice; fifteen grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren and a large number of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at the funeral home at Diller," |
