Pioneer Monument

This was originally placed at the intersection of the old US 40 and the road up Plateau Creek.

Later it was moved to Cameo truck stop.

 

Historical Database

Here is a remaining remnant of the road. If you look up when traveling east out of the Beavertail tunnels or take the old bypass you can see the stone retaining wall.
