Crystal Metzler
Crystal Ann Metzler was born to Max and Christine (Meis) Metzler on November 8, 1978, in Yuma. She departed this life on May 27, 1998.
Crystal participated in many activities throughout her high school years. She was named Miss Otis High School her senior year.
When Crystal was not involved in school activities she kept herself busy with many different jobs. She worked for Pizza Hut her sophomore year and the Yuma Chamber of Commerce the summer of her junior year. She was currently working for the Yuma Life Care Center.
Crystal was a delight to know and touched the lives of everyone around her. She had a bubbly enthusiasm that rubbed off on everyone that she was around. Crystal was full of life and believed that you should live life to its fullest. Ready to see the world, she was to follow in her father's footsteps. She had enlisted in the Army, and was to leave for Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri on September 2. Crystal will always be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, and friend to all she leaves behind. She will be missed dearly by all family and friends.
She is survived by her parents, Max and Christine Metzler, brother, Aaron and wife, Kay Ellen; brother, Clinton; grandmother, Dorothy Metzler; grandparents, Ruth and Clatus Meis; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Preceding her in death were her, grandfather, Bill Metzler and aunt, Kathleen Meis.
Funeral services were Friday, May 29, 1998 at St. John's Catholic church in Yuma with Father Jerry Young officiating. Burial was in the Yuma Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Spellman-Schmidt Baucke Mortuary of Yuma.
