According to the 1910 and 1920 Eckley census Helen Ernest was the daughter of Alvin P. and Mary "Mazie" Ernest who homesteaded about five miles south of Eckley. Helen, born about 1900, was their eldest child. Apparently the Ernest family arrived in Colorado about 1907.
That is all that is known about this photograph. If you can tell us
which child is Helen, where and in what district this school was
or who any of the other children are were would very much appreciate
it!!
