Old Photos of Eckley

August 1901

The Yuma Pioneer reported that during the storm about 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, lightning struck the depot at Eckley and burned it to the ground

In October 1901

Eckley will have a new depot.  Burlington carpenters are at work on it and expect to have it completed inside of the next ten days.

April 27, 1916 the Wray paper reported
"The depot at Eckley caught fire Monday evening and was totally burned.  It is not known how the fire originated, but it was discovered at about 6:00 in the evening, and No. 6 was delayed somewhat in reaching Wray, having been held in Eckley a short time while the building was burning."
