Funeral services for Rolland Bahn, 60, were held Saturday afternoon at the Higby Mortuary with Rev. Eldon Jandebeur, pastor of the First Christian church officiating. M. L. Baehr, Carl Larson, Claude Rennau, Reuben Ross, Ralph Olson and Merlin Williams served as casketbearers. Interment was made in the Aurora cemetery.
Mr. Bahn died in Grand Island on July 13. The son of George and Aumenta James Bahn, he was born at Peoria Illinois on September 22, 1900. When about two years old his parents moved to Hamilton county. In 1945 he moved to Grand Island where he has since resided. On March 20 1925 he married Lela Gormon at Aurora. In 1911 he was baptized in the First Christian church in Aurora.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter Mary Jane in her infancy.
Survivors include a son James of Grand Island, seven daughters, Mrs. Ethel Weston of Nebraska City, Mrs. Shirley Burnside of Grand Island, Mrs. Helen Brewer of Dodge City, Kans., Mrs. Georgene Pepper of Lockport, Illinois, Mrs. Ruth Harris of Marquette, Miss Roberta Bahn of Chadron, and Miss Rogene Bahn of Hampton, two brothers Floyd of Grand Island and Kenneth of Des Moines Iowa and sixteen grandchildren.

June 28, 1956 "Four sisters came to Yuma a couple of weeks ago to attend the funeral of their aunt, Mrs. Nellie, Gisi, and it was the first time the four had all been together in 22 years. Mrs. Winsome Engle came from Grand Island, Nebraska, Mrs. Zona Sanders from Neches, Washington, Mrs. Lola Mierau from Lebanon, Kansas, and Mrs. Emily Lynch from Yakima, Washington. Mrs. Lynch and Mrs. Mierau lived here when they were little girls."
