October 1941 "Mr. and Mrs. Earl Davis are the parents of a baby boy born October 9 at the Yuma hospial weighing 7 pounds and 13 ounces. The little fellow will answer to the name of Kay Don. Mrs. Davis was formeily Thelma Hornkohl."

"Ralph Davis of Denver is visiting at the home of his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Emit Davis.
Ivan Hornkohl of Yuma spent Sunday at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Hornkohl.

January 1942 "Mrs. Earl Davis and Kay Don of Denver are visiting at the Charles Hornkohl home."
"Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Piper and family, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hornkohl and Ivan, and Mrs. Earl Davis and Kay Don motored to Sterling Friday."


November 1941 Eckley "Ralph Davis of Denver is visiting at the home of his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Emit Davis.
Ralph Davis of Denver spent Wednesday afternoon at the Hornkohl home. Henry Wittlake and family and Mrs. E. A. Davis called on Mrs. Earl Davis and family Sunday. "


August 1941 Eckley " The following people enjoyed a bountiful fried chicken supper at the Emit Davis home Friday evening in honor of Virgil Wittlake who is home from the navy on a furlough: Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wittlake and family, Mrs. Nancy Sheldon and son, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Dollins, Donald Davis, Ivan Hornkohl and Bud Davis of Denver."

1946 Wray "Mr. and Mrs. Bud Davis of Logan, Utah, arrived here Sunday morning in time to attend a reunion of the C. M. Guemey family at the Dick Noffeinger home. The gathering honored the birthdays of Mrs. Bari Bullard and Max Guernsey. The Davises will visit relatives here and with the lady's parents at Benkelman.."

December 1947 Eckley "Mr. and Mrs. Earl Davis and son Charles came down from Denver early in the week for a visit with Mrs. Davis’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hornkohl. Earl returned to Denver after a few days and Thelma and Charles remained for a two weeks stay. "

January 1974 "Nancy Sheldon and Lulu Fonte visited with Bud Davis in the Wray hospital Saturday"

1976 "Ivan Hornkole has been a patient in the Veterans Hospital which necessitates additional trips to Denver for postoperative care. Bud Davis has moved in with him."
