Philemon G. and Sophia Plummer
From the history of Fulton County, Ohio "Timothy S. and Lucy C. (Green) Plummer, parents of Timothy Plummer, were born, the former in Maine, in 1790, the latter in New York in 1791. Timothy S. Plummer, Sir., was in the war of 1812, and took part in several battles. Mr. Plummer’s grandfather was from England, and settled in Maine. He left a large estate to his heirs at his death. Philemon Plummer, brother to the subject of this sketch, enlisted in the Union army in 1861, served three years, and was honorably discharged. Mr. Plummer settled in Fulton County, in 1853. Post-office, Morenci, Michigan. Business, farmer and dairyman, section 17. "
In 1860 Litchfield, Hillsdale County, Michigan, Phileman Plumer is 27, married to Mary A. 19 born in Ohio, with Luna A. 1, born in Ohio.
The roster of Company G, 18th Michigan includes Philemon Plummer of Litchfield, age 19 at time of enlistment.
In 1870 Clinton County, Michigan, Philemon is 37, farming, Mary A. 29, with Lucy A. 11 Ohio and Albert F. 9, born in Michigan.
Minnie Dell Plummer was born June 10, 1871 in Bengal township to Philemon and Mary Ann Plummer. She married Elmer Ellsworth Dutton in March 1887 in Clinton County.
She died July 7, 1931 in Caldwell, Canyon County, Idaho, and is buried in Portland Oregon # 147873586.
On January 28, 1877, in Dallas, Michigan, Charles S. Meyers, age 21, born at Eagle, Michigan, and Lucy Plummer, age 18, both of Bengal Michigan, married.
Charles Samuel Myers and Lucy Ann Plummer had Mary Abanah Myers in Bengal, Clinton County on December 2, 1877.
In 1880 Mary A. Meyers, age 2, is a niece of Rolston A. Buck 52, Adeline 43 in Clinton County.
That implies that either Lucy died, or they divorced, between 1877 and 1880.
(In 1885 Floyd County, Iowa, Minnie Plummer is 14, with A.L. 43 and Ester 52 Plummer. Next household is A.L. and Elizabuth Buck. - might be a coincidence)
Philemon Plummer, age 47, of Henry County, Ohio, a farmer born in New York, married Harriet Bakeston of Henry County, age 52, born in Ohio, on November 19, 1880 in Moroni/ Morenci, Michigan.
January 1888, Holyoke Colorado "To Mr. and Mrs. Plummer, January 2d, of 6-46, 9-pound girl. Dr. Blair reports mother and child doing well."

P.G. "Plumber" is a member of the Wray G.A.R. post in 1895, for service in G, 18th Michigan.
Philemon filed for an invalid pension in March 1880, and then Sophia Plummer filed for a widow's pension in March 1919 from the state of Washington.
On August 27, 1890, P. Plummer of Emerson P.O. in Phillips County, Colorado married Mrs. Sophia Carlson, also of Emerson, in Yuma (then the county seat. Joseph B. Campbell, J.P. performed the ceremonty - J.B. was also a member of the G.A.R. post in Yuma.
(Located 7 1/2 miles west and 4 south of Holyoke, Emerson found itself in the same
situation as Bryant along the never-completed Holyoke-Akron rail. Emerson,
along with the settlement of Wakeman - 7 miles east and 3 miles south of Holyoke-eventually disappeared as well.)
Sophia Plummer, formerly Sophia Carlson, proved up a tract in sections 26 and 35, 1N 45W, in 1896.
In 1891, Philemon proved up a quarter in 12, 6N 46W, Phillips County, Colorado - this is only thirty miles from Wray, twenty from Holyoke, and he might have had a friend in the Wray G.A.R. post.
June 1898 "Timothy Plummer, of Mich., arrived Thursday on a visit with his brother,
P. Plummer."
Aaron C. Plummer "son of P and S Plummer" 1895-1901 is buried in Wray 68943639.
In 1902 "Peter" Plummer sued Ed Bowles in Yuma County. The countercharge was that the plaintiff repeatedly threatened Ed. Bowles, Henry Renzelman, and wounded and killed about twenty head of cattle and horses, and that the said P. Plummer is a person not of good fame and is of bad character...
March 1909 "The Plummer sale Monday was quite well attended and things sold at good prices.
We understand that Mr. Plummer and wife will leave soon for Florida.
They will leave here by wagon and expect to travel clear through by this method.
For a few weeks they will visit among friends or until the weather gets settled."
In 1910 Spokane, Washington, Philemon is 77, born in New York, married 24 years to Sophia 53 Sweden. She's had four kids, two living. Charles W. is 20, born in Colorado.
Philemon Plummer, born April 14, 1833 in New York, died May 20 1818 in Plummer, Benewah County, Idaho, to be buried "near Plummer". Informant was Charles W. Plummer.
He's buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Benewah County # 14991968.
Charles Walter Plummer was born at Wray, Colorado January 22, 1890, and registered for WWI in Cheney, Washington, a laborer with a physical disability.
In 1920 Plummer precinct, Benewah County, Idaho, Charles is 28, living with mother Sophia 63.
Sophia Plummer 1857-1928 is buried in Linn County, Oregon # 29412165. The death certificate says her father was Colyson Peterson of Sweden. Mrs. WSm. Donovan was the informant.
Charles is buried in Linn County, Oregon, 1890-1926 # 29412166, with his death certificate saying he was born at "Hollyoke" Colorado to Philemon Plummer and Sophia Carlsen. His wife was Louise,
So is Mard M. (Donovan) Plummer 1888-1980.
Maud Plummer married Willie Donovan, born about 1884, in Yuma County September 5, 1906.
In 1910 Spokane, Washington, William R. Donovan is 25, born in Illinois, with Maud M. 21 COlorado. James r. is 2, born in Colorado, Albreeda M. five months born in Washington. On the same page is Frank Donovan, 19, born in Colorado, married to maud 21 Missouri.
On the same page is Charles M. Donovan 49 and Sarah 45, both born in Illinois.
William R. Donovan 1884-1973 is buried in Salem, Oregon # 58606171.
Salem, Oregon February 1940 "Judge L. G. Lewelling yesterday heard plaintiff's pleadings in the divorce case of
Maud Donovan vs. W. R. Donovan in which the plaintiff asks custody of four minor children, $28 monthly support money
for herself and children, S7 monthly for each child, and an equity in personal and real property.
The husband, in a cross complaint, has asked custody of the children and a fair property division, but did not appear in court yesterday to argue his case. The court withheld final action on the' decree pending his appearance, however. They were married September 5, 1906, and have 10 children, six of whom have attained their majority."
Maude Donovan is divorced in 1940 Salem, Oregon, with Jimmy 32 Colorado, Warren 20 Oregon, Fred 15 Oregon, and William 11 Oregon.
Alfreda M. Lukenbaugh, 96, of the Lebanon-Scio area, died June 24, 2006, in Albany, Oregon.
A funeral service was held on June 30 at Huston-Jost Funeral Home. Private interment was at Franklin Butte Cemetery near Scio.
She was born Nov. 8, 1909, in Cheney, Wash., the second of ten children born to William and Maude (Plummer) Donovan. She lived in Washington and in the Lebanon-Scio area.
Survivors are daughters Phyllis Elliott of Scio and Ruth Mann of North Carolina; son Henry Lukenbaugh, Jr. of Scio; sister Rose Goodwin of Washington; brothers Carl Donovan of Newburg and Fred Donovan of North Dakota;

In 1909 C. M. Donovan wrote the Wray Gazette that they are settled and growing all
kinds of fruits and vegetables.
1915 Wray "Mr. and Mrs. Frank Donovan of Cheney , Washington , arrived in Wray last Friday and are visiting Mrs . Donovan's brother , Orville Noffsinger , and family ,"
