William H. Ott



Daniel Ott married Mary C. Renner on March 15, 1849 in Washington County, Maryland.

Daniel P. Ott married Mary A. Thomas in Darke County, Ohio on May 17, 1868, so this William might have another mother.

Possibly the William Ott in 1870 Bond County, Illinois. Daniel is 48, farming, with mary E. 47 Hannah 21, Alice 18, James 21, William 17, Mary E. 12, Ellen 9, Emma 7, and Ida 3 - All born in Maryland?_

(Jenores T. Ott 1851-1925 is buried in Sutter County, California # 117629097. He was in Nebraska in 1880 and 1900, and in Ford County Kansas in 1910.)
Ida May (Ott) Birch 1862-1915 is buried in Fillmore County, Nebraska # 96878303.
She was the daughter of Daniel Ott and Mary Semore, and married William Burch in 1885 in Fillmore County.

POSSIBLE - William Ott proved up land in Holt County, Nebraska in 1889 and 1891 and 1895, and cash-claimed land in Harlan County i9n 1882.

1894 In 1900 Yuma County, William is farming, single, born October 1853 in Ohio, parents born in Maryland.

May 7, 1909 "William Ott is almost done sowing wheat. He is a little early but he goes right ahead. He doesn't seem to care if the ground is froze."

He is not the William Henry Ott 1854-1931 buried in Defiance County Ohio # 78425529.

This William Ott is also in the 1900 census of Defiance County, born October 1854 in Ohio, farming with partner George May 1858, Amy NMarch 1860, David Sept 1863, and John Aug 1864.
William is in Defiance County in 1930, 75, head of the hosehold with borther David and John.

William H. Ott is in the Stockton hospital in 1930, 77 born in Ohio, single.

He died there January 6, 1931, born 1853 in Greenville, Ohio. He had been in the hospital 23 months.
Parkview Crematory of Stockton handled the remains.
