DAN'S FAMILY

Helen Van Etten, wife of Ruben Jake Van Etten, born May 28, 1935, died July 12, 1952, residing in Las Vegas. Her siblings were Barbra Molinaro, Verna Olson, Mary Gamec, Logan and David Orcutt, Leonora Epling, and John Hoisve.

Verna Louise and Dick Dale Olson had Cindy Lee Ann Olson on June 28, 1955 in Hennepin County.

NORA'S SECOND MARRIAGE

EVA'S FAMILY

" Simon Peter Hosier was born in Cumberland County, Illinois to William and Hannah Ann Lemon Hosier on October 12, 1855. He was youngest of eleven children. His siblings were: Martha J,; George W.Hosier; Louisa Walker; Hannah Philips; James Knox Polk Hosier; Nancy Hiday; Elizabeth Gosnell; Philip Hosier; Lafayette Hosier and Geneva.
Simon and Sonora Ann Kenedy were married 16 January 1896. They were the parents of Eva Bell Orcutt, John, James and Charles.

DAN AND EVA

In 1930 Pulaski County, Missouri Dan Orcutt is 52, Elise B. Orcutt 33, Eve S. M. Orcutt 10, Dale B. Orcutt 8. Margorie D. A. Orcutt 7, and Charles R. Orcutt 4.

January 1936 Wray " Mrs. Nettie Chrisman, who is still quite ill from the effects of pneumonia, was favored by a visit Sunday from Mrs. Dan Orcutt and daughters. Also of Mrs. Bob Orcutt and sons Elmer and Archie, all who were her guests at dinner Sunday."

"Daniel Orcutt was born December 2, 1876 at Monticello, lowa and departed this life February 14, 1940 at Denver, Colo. At the age of 63 years, 2 months, 12 days.
On July 16, 1919 he was married to Eva Hosier, at Beaver City, Nebraska.
He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, four children, Eva, Dale, Marjorie and Raymond all of Wray, Colo. Also four children by a former marriage, Ralph, Harold, Irene and James of Dubuque, lowa, besides other relatives and a host of friends in Wray and surrounding community.
The family moved to a farm 10 miles northeast of Wray in 1932 and in 1938 they moved to Wray where he has since made his home. He gave his heart to God 5 years ago in an old fashioned revival meeting in a little school house close to their home, then becoming a charter member of the Assembly of God church, where he has been faithful in attending and working for God and where he will be sadly missed. His life was a busy one, yet not too busy to help others in loving service for his Lord and Savior. He was a kind and loving father and husband, a Christian friend and neighbor and will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services were held here on Saturday afternoon at 2 p. m. at the Assembly of God church. Rev. Zora Getchell read the service with interment following at Grandview."
In 1940 Wray, Eva B. Orcutt is widowed, 43, Eva M. Orcutt 20, Dale W. Orcutt 18, Marjorie A. Orcutt 17, and Raymond C. Orcutt 14.

Oct 1942 "A number of ladies of the Assembly of God congregation entertained at a shower for Mrs. Delbert Sheiler on Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Sheiler's mother, Mrs. Eva Orcutt. She received many lovely gifts. Refreshments were served by the hostesses." Eva Bell Orcutt, born 18 Apr 1896 in Nebraska, died 15 Jun 1977 in Los Angeles County.

May 1944 Wray "Bill Coston and Dale Orcutt left Wednesday for Towner where they will be employed during the remodeling of an elevator."

"A Wray, Colo., couple, Delbert Jay Scheler and Marjorie Orcutt received their license and were married by Probate Judge Florence Curry on June 14, 1941 in St. Francis, Kansas."

EVA

"Miss Eva Orcutt, daughter of Mrs. Dan Orcutt, became the bride of Sgt. Ray E. Neitz Sept. 12, 1944, in a quiet but impressive ceremony performed at St. Francis, Kansas.. The bride was attractively attired in a street length frock of soldier blue with navy accessories and her corsage was of American Beauty roses. The groom was of course in uniform. Mr. and Mrs. William Johnston, brother-in-law and sister of the groom, attended the bridal couple. Rev. Paul A. Hantla read the single ring ceremony. The bridal party returned to Wray and a wedding dinner was served at the home of Mrs. Roy Parsons. The table was prettily decorated with autumn flowers and a large wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and groom. Covers were laid for the bride and groom, Mrs. Dan Orcutt, the bride’s mother; Mrs. Mary Neitz, the groom’s mother; Mrs. George Brown, Mr. and Mrs. William Johnston, Mrs. Delbert Scheler, Miss Esther Post, Miss Beverly Parsons and Mrs. Roy Parsons. Sgt. Neitz, combat veteran of Sicily and Italy, will report for duty Oct. 2nd at Santa Barbara, Calif. The Rattler joins their many friends in extending congratulations and best wishes to the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Neitz. "
