Mary A. (Asbury) Hulen and Francis N. Roberts married in Boone County, Missouri on March 19, 1857.

Mary Ann Asbury Roberts 1829-1896 is buried in Boone County, Missouri # 27866927, spouses David B. Hulen 1825-1852 and Francis Marion Roberts 1834-1875 # 27866875.

In 1880 Boone County, Mary A. Roberts is 50, Samuel Roberts 19, Robert Roberts 14, Martha Roberts 12. Lelee D. Roberts 11, and Mary Roberts 8.


Mary F. Roberts and Thomas Dunnington married in Randolph County, Missouri on March 22, 1899.

July 1909 "James Remington and Frank Maag came over yesterday from Kirk precinct and will stay until after the Fourth. They were accompanied by Mrs. Tom Dunnington and children who have been visiting Mrs. Dunnington's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Chrisman." (This is probably her sister, Jane Roberts Chrisman)


September 1908 "Mrs. Tom Dunnington and son Carl returned the first of the week from a long visit with friends and relatives in Missouri, and Tom is happy again."

In 1910 Wray, U. T. is 38, Mary F. 38, Carl G. 9, Ida G. 8,a nd Helen I. 1.

W. T. and Mary F. Dunnington divorced in Yuma County in 1913.

In 1930 Colorado Springs, Mary is 57, with Helen D. 21 a bookkeeper. <
In 1945 Fort Worth, Gertrude Dunnington is a chemist, living with Mary at 720 Grainger in Fort Worth, Texas.
br>Mary Frances Dunnington, born to Francis M. Roberts and Mary Asbury in Missouri on November 5, 1871, died in Fort Worth Texas on August 10, 1951.

1952 Moberly Missouri "Miss Gertrude Dunnington of Fort Worth, Tex., is visiting her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. R. ! Mrs. Leonard Sudsberry and fam"

Helen Dunnington and Joe Storm married in Castle Rock, Colorado on June 21, 1934.

Helen L. Storm is buried in Colorado Spring dying in March 1939.

May 1913 "News slipped out last Saturday that Miss Maude Lundy and U. T. Dunnington were united in marriage at Trenton, Nebraska, on Monday March the 24th. They went down to Trenton on Sunday night, so that a number of people would not be at the depot to see the train come and go, and they returned the next night for the same reason. News was circulated a few days afterwards that they were married but no evidence of the fact was secured from either one of the newlyweds, although neither one denied the fact. The grandmother of the bride gave the secret away when she addressed a letter to the bride as Mrs. Tom Dunnington. Mr. Dunnington has been a resident of our town for a number of years and has made a host of friends. When he first came here he was employed by Wm. Heindel as a cabinet maker but when Mr. Heindel sold his carpenter shop last fall to Walker and Rounds, Mr. Dunnington started a shop of his own. The bride came here with her mother a little over a year ago when the latter purchased the Opera House Cafe. She has a host of friends in her home town of St. Francis and has made a great number in our own little city. Mr. and Mrs. Dunnington will make their future home here and intend to begin house keeping soon."

August 1913 "Carl Dunnington, son of Tom Dunnington, arrived from Clark, Missouri, last Friday and will make his home with his father. Carl's many Wray friends will be glad to welcome him back to Wray."

Carl G. Dunnington and Cleo Hawkins married on August 2, 1924 in Arapahoe County, Colorado.

Carl is buried in Wheat Ridge, Colorado 1900-1978 # 200178145
"1st married to CLEO HANKINS 2 Aug 1924 in Denver, Colorado. One daughter (Helen Jo Dunnington).
2nd married to FRANCES ELEANOR NEWSTROM 24 Feb 1945 in Denver, Colorado. They share a plot and grave marker at Crown Hill Cemetery."

"Mr. and Mrs. Tom Dunnington are parents of a girl baby born to them on Saturday, March 14, 1914.

August 1915 "Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Dunnington arrived last Saturday from Clark, Missouri, and are visiting in the home of their son, Tom Dunnington. The elder Mr. Dunnington is a mighty fine looking man to be the father of a boy like Tom."

March 1916 " Mrs. H. C. Lundy received a large box of assorted fruits from her daughter, Mrs. Tom Dunnington, Tuesday morning. Mrs. Dunnington left several weeks ago to join her husband in Bartow, Florida, where he is engaged in building a residence for Thomas Ashton, of near Haigler. Mrs. Dunnington included in her collection three or four varieties of oranges; also a branch from the orange tree containing buds and blossoms, and the ripe fruit; several varieties of lemons, grapefruit, Japanese plums, tangarines, kumqtuats, a small part of a palm tree and some of the extremely long pine needles. Mrs. Lundy is justly proud of her exhibit and has them all on display in the front of her place of business, the Opera House Cafe. Mr. and Mrs. Dunnington are expecting to return to Wray about the first of May."

November 1916 "Miss Mary Lundy came up from her home near Hale Monday and will remain with her sister, Mrs. Thomas Dunnington, and little daughter until their departure for Sheridan, Wyoming, where Mr. and Mrs. Dunnington expect to make their home in the future."

May 1917 "Mr. and Mrs. Tom Dunnington left yesterday for Denver where they are intending to reside. They had spent the preceding week with Mrs. Dunnington's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Lundy of near Hale."

In 1920 Denver, Thomas is a carpenter 46, with Carrie M. 28 born iKnasas, Cassie M. five born in Colorado.

August 1925 "Mrs. Maude Duninngton, who will be remembered as Miss Maude Lundy, is to sing today from radio staion KOA in Denver. Her selections are operatic. Mrs. Dunnington is a sister of Mrs. John Rolow."

August 1926 "Mrs. Thos Dunnington, and little daughter, Mable, arrived from Denver Monday evening and will visit two weeks or more with her sister, Mrs. John Rolow, and her mother Mrs. H. L. Lundy of this city, and with her sister, Mrs. Chas. Busby of near Hale. "

In 1930 Denver, Thomas is a carpenter, 55, Peggie 34, and Margaret 16.

Marguerite Dunnington and George Tower married in Castle Rock on May 16, 1935.
George, 29 and Marguerite 26 are in Denver in 1940, running a dry cleaning shop.

In 1940 Carrie is 49, working for Frank Hines 77, Thomas Dunnington in a lodging house in Denver.

"Thomas Dunnington, a former Wray resident, died suddenly in Denver Monday, November 6, 1944. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Howard Mortuary with burial in Crown Hill cemetery. Survivors include three children - Carl Dunnington and Mrs. Marguerite Tower of Denver and Gertrude Dunnington of Fort Worth, Texas."
Marguerite D. Tower 1914-2008 is buried in Denver # 94117145.
So is George E. Tower 1910-2003 # 94117144.
