Voyle was born November 20, 1888 in Clinton, Iowa to Frederick Lawrence Dorrance and Mable B. (Bannister) Dorrance. (and that Mable died in Wray December 22, 1928)
Voile registered for WWI in McCook, Nebraska
1902 “Voil Dorrance entered the intermediate grade. Voil is James and Ina Carwin’s cousin from Essex, Ia., who will make his home here.”
1908 “Voyle V. Dorrance and Miss Nina M. Sprigg were united in marriage Saturday, March 28, by Judge J.S. Hendrie at the court house. Many friends extend best wishes to the happy young folks.”
Nina was the daughter of Ed Sprigg, so the granddaughter of May Sprigg.

This is Chester Dorrance, Voyle's brother, who was a wallpaperer / painter in Wray with Josephine. On the right is Nina and Voyle Dorrance. Thanks to the Tofflemeyer Family.

Voyle and Nina are buried in Grandview cemetery.
The Toflemeyer tree says this is Mable and grandson Everett in Colorado
In 1880 Essex, Page County Iowa, Mable is 20, daughter of W.W. and Bricker Banister.
Mable married George Long - who must have been prosperous, because he was a stockholder and director of a Wray bank.
In 1910 George and Mabel (sic) are in Laird, with Voyle Dorrance, 21, and Violet Long 8.
1910 "Geo. Long, east of town, returned from Denver Tuesday with three cars of stock cattle which he has added to the herds on his ranch. George is not only one among the best fellows in Yuma county, but has the knack of being a successful cattle ranchman along with his other virtues."
1912 "Mrs. and Mrs. Geo. Long and daughter of five miles northeast were shopping in the county seat Saturday."
In 1920 George and Mable are in the Laird precinct. George said he was 50, born in Ireland, immigrating in 1894. Violet Dorrance, 17, granddaughter, is with them.

Violette must be a daughter of Chester Dorrance 1922
Royal A. Gentry, born in Fairbury, Nebraska, married Pearl (Faden) Beath in Whatcom County, Washington in 1923.
1923
Royal died young - cancer - and is buried in Grandview. His father Charles A. Gentry 1866-1911 is also in Grandview.
In 1909 "Chester Dorrance of Fairbury, Nebraska is visiting his mother Mrs. Geo. Long."
In 1910 Josephine is with her parents in Merrick County Nebraska with year-old Paul.
Chester, born January 29, 1883, married Josephine Martin, 1890-1978.
Chester registered for WWi in San Francisco, with a home address the same as employer's 259 Pacific Bldg. He listed Josephine in Central City, Nebraska as closest relative.
Chester died February 2, 1966. Both are in the Central City, Nebraska cemetery.

said he died April 1963 in Colorado and Elizabeth died February 1977 in Orem,
Utah.
Ina B. Carwin, born August 21, 1893 in Essex, Page, Iowa; died April 15, 1968 in Peetz ,Colorado. She married McGee; died Unknown.
Donald B. Carwin, born July 28, 1908 in Wray, Colorado; died March 05, 1977.
Ronald North Carwin, born July 28, 1908 in Wray, Colorado; died May 30, 1949 in Sterling, CO ( drowned).<
