In 1850 Union County, Ohio, John Byers is 6, with Andrew 41, Mary 40, Nancy J. 15, William G. 13, Elizabeth 11, Sarah A. 8, John 6, Rebeca 4, and newborn Price.
One tree said John married Harriet Elizabeth Hines (Born Feb 10, 1849) in Upper Sandusky, Ohio on June 16, 1867. Oliver Perry Byers August 1, 1868, Lenna March 5, 1873, Rosa BEll January 8, 1875, Daisy May April 16 1879, PPercy Ray March 12, 1884, and Hrvey Clyde Feb 3, 1888.
In 1850 Hardin County, Ohio, Adam Hines is 29, farming, with Sarah 39, "Haret" 1, Sarah 5, Solomon 7, Theodore 10, Susan 9, Uriah 13, Peter 14.
In 1860 Hardon County, Adam is 37, Sarah 48, Susan 19, Solomon 17, Sarah 15, Harriet 11, Adaline 9, adn George 7.
In 1880 Marion County, Ohio, John is 36, Hattie 31, Oliver 12, Leona 7, Rosa 5, and "Dasie" 1.
In 1885 Colfax County, Nebraska, John is 41, farming, with Harriet 35. Oliver is 15, Lennie 12, Rosa 10, Daisy 6, - all born in Ohio, Percy 1 born in COlfax COunty, and Peter Byers 20 born i nCOlfax County a farm hand.
In 1895 John was a member of the Wray G.A.R. post "F., 55th Ohio Infantry."
John cash-claimed a quarter in 26, 1N 44W in 1891, and another in 1893, about three miles southwest of Wray. Heproved up a quarter in 17, 1N 43W in 1899, a mile southeast of Wray.
February 1899 "John Byers put in a stock of patent medicines this week."
April 1899 "John Byers received a large invoice of crockery during the week ."
In 1900 Laird Precinct, Yuma County, John born April 1844 is married 33 years to Harrieet E. Feb 18544, both in Ohio. Her six hildren are still living. Daisy M. APril 1879 Ohio, Percy R. March 1884 Nebraska, and Harvey C. Feb 1888 Nebraska.
John was in the 1900 photo of the Wray G.A.R. members.
April 1900 "John Byers has traded his stock of merchandise and building in Laird for ranch property near Stockville , Frontier county Neb ., to J . W , Melvin . "
September 4, 1908 "John Byers and wife left Friday evening for Toledo , Ohio , to attend the G . A . R . Encampment and to visit their old home in the Buckeye state ,"
May 1909 "Mrs. Mary Blue of Indiana Harbor, Indiana, arrived on No. 1 Wednesday and will make her sister ,
Mrs. John Byers an extended visit this summer. These sisters have not met in
thirty years and their reunion will no doubt be thoroughly enjoyed. Mrs. Blue was accompanied by her granddaughter ."
John, Harriet, and Harvey are farming in Yuma County in 1910.

John Byers 1844-1928 is buried in Wray # 17076253.

DAISY
November 10, 1900 "Miss Daisy M. Byers and Nelson H. Rife, both of Laird,
Colorado,
were happily united in marriage at tbe Presbyterian manse in Yuma, Wednesday,
October 1900, by Rev. Cameron.
The young couple thought it a good joke to hoodwink their friends by quietly going
to the county seat and getting married, but the joke was turned upon themselves.
Their train was several hours late and they could not return till next morning,
thereby missing an elegant wedding supper
that was prepared for them at the home of the bride's parents. An infair was held at tbe home of the groom Thursday evening ,
when many friends called to wish them long life and happiness. The evening was enjoyed . There was music and dancing and games ,
and the festivities were continued till a late hour. A number of pretty and useful presents were given the bride and groom , among them being a cow , the pick of a herd of 300.
This was the present of the grooms father to the bride. The guests were as follows : Mr . and Mrs . John Byers and family , Mr . and Mrs . H . J . Wells and family , Mr . and Mrs . H . E . Cheney and family , Mr . and Mrs . E . J . Dowlin and family ,
Mr. and Mrs. John Hultquist and family, Mr. and T. E. Caldwell, Mr. and Mrs.
L . B . Rife and family, Mrs. Hays, Mrs. Schaefer, Mrs. Pierce Miller,
Miss J. C. Lehman, Miss J. Roberts, Miss Jeannette Fowler, Misses Emma
and Mabel Lohman Miss Eva Grant, Miss Carrie Staininger, Messrs.
Wm. and Chas. Rife, Bash and Frank Murdock, Bose Gilbert, Jas Fowler,
Silas Stansbury, and Harvey Lohman.
The bride and groom are well known and highly respected among the young people of the county . They grew np here , and come from the best families .
Besides their many accomplishments, they are well qualified to successfully cope with the new life and the new responsibilities they have taken upon themselves . With their many friends , the Rattler says God speed them ."

Percy Ray Byers registered for WWI in Yampa, Colorado, born March 12, 1884, ranching for himself. Reference was Cecil O.l Byers of Yampa.
Percy 1884-1959 is buried in Littleton # 17602979.

HARVEY
June 1908 "Harvey Byers of Lafayette is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
John Byers, this week."
February 1913 "Mr. and Mrs. Harve Byers
returned to their home in Keenesburg , Colorado,
last Saturday after visiting with the former's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Byers for a week."
March 1915 "Mrs. John Byers went up to Otis last Tuesday , where she is visiting her son , Harvey , and family for a few days ."
August 24, 1916 "Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Byers of Laird returned to Wray Tuesday from their trip west nnd have been visiting
at the home of Harvey's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Byers .
Harvey is again agent at Laird ."
In 1920 Furnas County, Nebraska, Harvey is a railroad telegrapher 33, Evelyn R. 35 born in Minnesota of Swedish parents ,, Leland E. 6, Everett E. 3, and Ruth 1.
(Evelyn Ruth Olson was born in Hennepin County - but this is not proven to be the Yuma County one)
In 1930 San Gabriel, California, Harvey is a mailman, 43, Evelyn 45, Leland 17, Everett 13, and Elenore 11.
In 1940 Los Angeles County Harvey 50 and Evelyn 54 have just Everett 23.
Harvey C. Byers 1888-1972 is buried in Whittier, Calfornia # 114470163.
Orange County Register (Santa Ana, CA) - April 10, 1994:
Everett E. Byers, 77, of San Clemente, a retired claims supervisor, died Friday. Visitation from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at McCormick & Son Mortuary, Laguna Hills. Services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Crystal Cathedral, Garden Grove. Burial at Crystal Cathedral Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Garden Grove.
Survived by his son, James, of Hacienda Heights; daughters, Marylin Froggatt of Aliso Viejo, Diane Hamchuk of San Clemente and Deborah Byers Wilterink of Long Beach; and eight grandchildren.

October 18, 1917 "The home of Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Graham was the
scene of a pretty home
wedding last Sunday afternoon when they gave their daughter, Florence, in marriage to
Mr. Walter Sweazy . The marriage took place in the afternoon, at the hour of 5:00 , Rev . A . W . Rice officiating .
Only the immediate relatives of the contracting parties were present,
Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Sweazy, parents of the groom; Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Dinsmore,
the latter a sister of Walter; Earl Graham, brother of the bride; Mrs. John Byers,
the maternal grandmother of tho bride, and Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Graham,
her paternal grandparents; Miss Ethel Pyle, and the Messrs.
John Brown and Homer Smith. The couple were attended by Miss Ethel Pyle and Homer Smith as bridesmaid and best man , and entered the room at the strains of the wedding march which was rendered by Mr . Brown . The rooms were decorated in pink and white . Miss Florence was gowned in white georgette crepe and carried a bouquet of bridal roses , and her attendant wore a white crepe de chene gown . The groom and his attendant were attired in blue-black serges .
At the conclusion of the ceremony, a four course dinner was served , the table being decorated in the color scheme of pink and white . Mrs . Sweazy will be greatly missed in Wray and especially in church work as she has been acting as organist and instructor in the Sunday School and has been closely associated with all the work of the Methodist church . Mr . Sweazy , however , will gain a good helpmate in his work in the Mount Hope church in which he is an active member . Mr . and Mrs . Sweazy , accompanied by her parents , drove out to the C . M . Sweazy home south of Vernon , Monday and the two families enjoyed the day all to themselves , and also partook of a delicious dinner that had been prepared by Walter's mother .
The newly married couple are at home to their many friends on the Sweazy farm where they will have full charge, as the groom's parents are planning on leaving in a few days for an extended visit with relatives and friends at various points in Oklahoma . We join with the many friends of this young couple in wishing them a very happy life together ."
