FOURTEEN MEMBERS OF THE WRAY LODGE VISIT THE SISTER LODGE AT YUMA AND MEET WITH A ROYAL RECEPTION
Quite a number of the members of the Wray Rebekah lodge I.O.O.F. came up on No. 7 yesterday and spent the afternoon visiting with theier sisters of the local lodge and with other Yuma friends. At 5:15 o'clock the visitors gathered at the Schramm hotel and partook of a bounteous three-course dinner as the guests of the Yuma lodge, which was served in the inimitable manner that has made Mr. and Mrs. Barcley famous as among the best caterers in the eastern portion of the Centennial State
At the close of the dinner hour the guests and hosts gathered at the Odd Fellows hall, and shortly after 7:30 o'clock the lodge ws called to order by Noble Grand Annie E. Fisher. Two candidates, Mrs. Frank Adams and Miss Elizabeth Brandon, were introduced and instructed in the mysteries of the order by the degree staff of the Wray lodge. It is understood the members of the staff were very proficient in their work and were highly praised by the home sisters.
After the lodge work was finished dainty refreshments were served in the hall, and the balance of the evening was spend in listening to interesting talks by several of the members, music and social intercourse. The visitors departed on No.2 for their home town.
The special reason for the gathering was to celebrate the sixty-second anniversary of the womans auxiliary to the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Take it all in all, it was a day that will be pleasantly remembered by the Rebekahs of Wray and Yuma for many years. Those present from Wray were Mrs. C.D. Pickett, Mrs. J.W. Cloyd, Mrs. C.B. McGinnis, Mrs. Ed Broderick, Mrs. Fayette Lamphere, Mrs. Geo. Baker, Mrs. F.B. Williams, Mrs. G.E. Courtney, Mrs. George Maag, Mrs. Sadie Shroyer, Miss Lucile Furneaux, Miss Ida Cloyd, Miss Clara Tegner, and Mrs. S.J. Williams.
