In 1912 an Everett Leroy Greenfield, 28 of Mitchell South Dakota married Gladys Donohoe, 18 also of Mitchell. A Gladys Donoho Koch is buried in Mitchell - 1894 -1965 - Gladys Greenfield, 22 married George Koch 1915. Everett L. Greenfield proved up two quarters in 2 and 3, 3N 46W in 1916.

| I am researching the Greenfield family from Yuma, Colorado. My
maternal grandfather was Everett Leroy Greenfield, born April 14, 1884.
My maternal grandmother was India Fern Wilson, born April 11, 1895. Her
father was Milton Adalaska Wilson, born September 16, 1860. Her mother
was Mary Ellen Wood, born July 14, 1863. Milton A. Wilson's Father was
David Amasa Wilson, born September 23, 1836 and his mother was Rebecca
Jane Kisling, born September 27, 1836. Mary Ellen Wood's parents were
David Andrew Wood, born October 7, 1828 and Sarah E. Farrington, born
October 8, 1834. Sarah Farrington's parents were William Farrington,
birth date unknown and Mariah Bowerstock Farrington Mendenhall, born May
2, 1813 in Adams County, Pennsylvania, daughter of Jacob and Mary

Immediately south of Everett, Daniel W. Greenfield proved up two quarters in 1916.
In 1900 Mecosta County Michigan Everett is with Daniel 48 and Melissa 44 Greenfield. Others are Cora 19, Ethel 17, and Ernest 13.
Everett registered for WWI in Yuma County, saying he was born April 14, 1884, and was married to India Fern Greenfield.
In 1920 Yuma Everett is 36, Illinois, with India 25 Iowa. Verna 3, Doris J 1, and one-month old Edna M. were all born in Colorado.
In 1930 they have Venia E. 13, Davis I 11, Edna 10,Margret A. 8, Earl L. 6, Brie H. 4, Allen P. 2, and Glen L. six months.
In 1940 Eckley they have Everett J. 16, Beyer H. 14, Allen P. 12, Blaine 10, Jennie L. 8, Lewis J. 6, Ethel 4, and Floyd W. 2.

Margaret Alice Jurgens (Burton) nee
Greenfield, after living a full life for more than 90 years,
passed away peacefully, on August 15, 2012. Margaret, formerly of Yuma and Arvada Colorado and most recently from Westminster CO, was loved by her family and friends and although she has passed through the veil to be with her Heavenly Father, her parents, her beloved husband, family, friends and angels, she will be missed by many. Margaret was known for her love of family, generosity, and gentleness as well as her feisty competitive spirit, and her love of her favorite flowers: orchids and roses. In addition to raising three wonderful children, Margaret touched many lives over several decades through loyal employment, her community service, tireless volunteer work and tutoring. She loved reading, playing card games, travel, and watching sports - including the Olympics, the Colorado Rockies and the Denver Broncos. In her early years she played softball, basketball, enjoyed running and later in life she enjoyed golf, gardening and various other hobbies. Born Margaret Alice Greenfield on February 19, 1922, in the farming community of Eckley Colorado to her parents Everett Leroy Greenfield Sr., b Apr 14, 1884, d Jun 27, 1974 and India Fern (Wilson) Greenfield, b Apr 11, 1895, d Jun 1, 1974., she was the first generation of Colorado natives, now reaching the fourth generation of home-grown locals to her home state. Private Orville A. Burton served our country in the United States Army, making the ultimate sacrifice during WWII in France. Margaret started her career in the Denver Piggly Wiggly store and retired from King Soopers meat department. In addition working full time and earning her college degree from the Community College of Denver, she served in numerous community organizations, volunteered and tutored for over thirty years with many higher education institutions in the Denver area. Margaret is survived by her sister Doris Mayo, her brothers: Everett (Curly) Greenfield and Norman Greenfield, her children: Larry O. (Burton) Jurgens, Kerry F. (Burton) Jurgens, and Richard H. Jurgens, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Roscoe A. Greenfield proved up two quarters in 8 and 9 - a mile west of William in 1913.
In 1910 Eckley Roscoe A. 23. born in Michigan, and Mabel L. 20, born in Nebraska, Greenfield have Dallas F. 3 And Ve*le C. 2., both in Kansas.
1914 Vernon items "Roxy Greenfield visited at Fernand Foltner's last week. Their home is north of Eckley"
Roscoe registered for WWI, saying he was born August 29, 1886 in Morley Michigan
In 1920 Rocoe, a real estate agent, and Mabel are in Haigler, Nebraska, with Dallas F. 13, Sylvester C. 12, and Howard twenty months., all born in Kansas.
Roscoe's Findagrave lists him buried in Haigler, Nebraska, dying June 8, 1945. The stone has "L. Mable" with him. and the listing says she was born Lola Mable Dixon December 17, 1886 in Ashland, Nebraska, dying in 1963.
ALBERT
In 1870 Toulon, Stark County, Illinois Albert Greenfield is 14, living with the Rennick family.
In 1900 El Paso County Albert J. May 1858 in Illinois, is a farmer. Marie October 1860 Indiana, Kate March 1884 Kansas, Roscoe August 1886 Michigan, and Delia December 1898 Nebraska are with them.
In 1905 Republic County, Kansas A.J. 46, M.L. 44, R.A. 18, D.L. 6, W.S. 23, E.F. 19, and R.A. 3
Next household to Roscoe in 1910 is Albert J. Greenfield 51, Illinois, and Maria, 49 Indiana. She's had four children, but only Delia 11 born in Nebraska is with them.
Maria must be the "Mrs. M.B. Greenfield" that was a charter member of the Waverly church in 1913.
In 1916 "A valuable horse belonging to A.J. Greenfield met its death recently by swallowing a piece of cane stalk."
1920 Albert and Maria must be in Lancaster County, Nebraska. Delia is with them, so this must be about the time this photo -thanks to the Greenfield Family Tree - was taken.
One tree says Albert Joseph Greenfield died May 6, 1921 in Haigler, Nebraska.
In 1940 Maribiea, 79 is widowed, living with daughter Delia Horstman 41 in Wray. Henry C. 57 Horstman is a farmer. They were in Dundy County Nebraska in 1935. Maribiea died in 1948 and is buried in Yuma.
DELIA
Delia married Henry C. Horstmann, and in 1930 they're farming near Idalia.
One tree said Delia Lovina Greenfield was born December 7, 1898 in Pawnee County, Nebraska and died January 6, 1987 in Yuma County.
KATIE
Katie M. Greenfield married George J. Stone December 23, 1901 in Colorado Spring. (this must be the ones next to Maribiea in the Yuma Cemetery)
George and Catherine are right next to William in the 1910 Eckley census. They have Elwood, 7, Thelma 5, and Thomas 3, all three born in Colorado.
Still in Eckley in 1920, they've added Philip, 3.
In 1930 with them is Elwood 24 has married Luella, 21, and Philip is 13. Chancey J. is 5, and the census says he's a son. On the census page they're following my great-uncle and his son's families, so they must be near Waverly.
George must have died in 1938, buried in Yuma, and Catherine married a Krutsinger. One tree says she married Clode L. Krutsinger in 1949 in Dundy County, Nebraska. That's the name under which she was buried in 1963 in Yuma, in the same plot as her mother and George.
There's a Chancey Stone, buried in 1936 in Yuma, so that must be theirs. Also a Eula B. Stone, buried 1925, is in the same plot. Wording on Chancy's marker says "son of E.W. Stone - his mother was a Wilson"
In 1940 Elwood and Luella F. are in Wray, with Vona L. 7 and Patricia J. ten months. Elwood is a laborer on the roads.
Philip L. is a radio operator for the Marine Corps in San Diego is 1940, married to Ruby M. 22. He was in Colorado Springs in 1935, Ruby in Wray.
WILLIAM
Next household to Albert in 1910 is William M. Greenfield, 28, Nebraska, with Alta 23, Kansas. Roscoe A. 6, Kansas and Genevieve L. 1 Nebraska are with them.
William got $9 in 1910 for working on the county roads.
February 1913 "Dr. Crawford reports the arrival of a boy at the home of Mrs. and Mrs. Wm. Greenfield, northeast of town (Yuma)"
William S. Greenfield had proved up two quarters immediately south of Daniel, one in 1913, another in 1914.
In 1920 Lancaster County, Nebraska William S. Greenfield is 38, Alta F. 34, and they have Roscoe A. 15, Genevieve L. 11, Bulah M. 9, Colorado Leroy A. 6, Colorado and Daniel J. eleven months. Nebraska.

In 1930 Cloud County, Kansas William is a farm laborer. He and Alta have David 11, Cecil 6 Colorado, and Lucille 4.Montana.
In 1940 Hardin, Big Horn County, Montana W.S. . a farmer, and Alta have Cecil and Lucile. William died May 4, 1940 in Montana. Ancestry thinks Alta is the one dying in Montana October 29, 1944.

Edna M. Greenfield, 18, married Thomas L. Roy, 24, in Wray
August 4, 1937 In 1940 there's an Edna Roy at Schofield Barracks in Honolulu, with Donna, 1, born in Hawaii. The separate army census page of Schofield has a Roy, L. Thomas, 25, Oklahoma, married Thomas L. Roy, United States Army, is reported to have been awarded a Silver Star under the below-listed General Orders, for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action against the enemy while serving with the 11th Armored Division, during World War II.Thomas L. Roy - September 1, 1913 - Thursday, March 18, 2010. Thomas was a resident of Buffalo, Missouri. Family and friends are mourning the loss of a great man, Bob Roy died peacefully on June 21, 2012 at the age of 67. Born into a loving family in post war America, his childhood was filled with fun and adventures. The hills of Missouri offered the opportunity of an idyllic youth, riding horses, exploring the woods, taking care of his baby sisters, studying and eager for experiences, Bob volunteered for the Army in 1967. His ability to lead was apparent and he attained an Officer’s Commission prior to deployment for a combat tour in Vietnam. Bob also enjoyed success in business, which, like most things, came easy to him. He was usually the cleverest person in the room, whether it was a courtroom or a boardroom. Socially, he could always be found at the center of a where the laughter was the loudest. Bob enjoyed hard work and any activity that would engage his talented, creative mind and tap his limitless energy such as painting, drawing, exercising, reading, carpentry and mechanical repair. His other preferred activity was spending time with his favorite person, Loreen – life partner of 33 years. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Edna Roy and sister Donna Roy. He is survived, and will be deeply missed by his brother, Bill Roy and sisters, Helen Bailey and Shirley Posche. Immediate family also includes Loreen Rocca, Bill and Christine Rocca, Tom and Danna Rocca and grandchildren Isabella, Jolee, Scott and Tyler, who are very lucky to have spent tireless hours of play with their Grandpa Bob. To all who knew him, the wisdom, joy and marvelous example of life Bob gave us will never be forgotten. Friends may attend a Memorial Service on Aug. 24th, at 12 noon, Garden Chapel, 885 El Camino Real, So.SF.
