Chester, born August 5, 1885 - one tree has it in Holt County, Nebraska, and marrying Effie Spelts (daughter of Elijah Elwood Spelts). His sister Ivy Maude married Willis Spelts, Effie's brother. Chester and Effie married 1907 - one tree has May, another November in Holt County.
Chester and Effie Bowden "proved up" their homestead in 1914 in Section 14, 4N 47W - about three miles north of Waverly. They built a big barn, painted it red, and then painted a big white star on both ends. Therefore, their place was White Star Farm.
Daughter Lorena married Harley Salvador, and son Walter married Eva Murphy.
