Named to the second team All-MVC following the
season.
Earned first team MVC Scholar-Athlete, as well as
CoSIDA Academic All-America.
Second on the team and MVC with 10 wins last
season, (10-3).
Ranked ninth in the nation, while leading the team
and Valley with 18 games started.
Hurled 102.0 innings on the mound, second in the
Valley and on the squad.
Finished third on the team with a 2.65 earned run
average.
Fanned 100 batters on the season, fourth in the
MVC and ninth on the Creighton single-season charts.
Allowed just 33 runs to score in 19 appearances.
Picked up his first win in his first outing, a 5-1
win over Toledo. Finished the game with 6.0 innings
of work, allowing one earned run and striking out
three (2/19).
Earned wins in his next three straight starts,
tossing 5.0 innings at New Mexico (2/25), and 7.0
innings at both Arkansas State (3/6) and against
South Dakota State (3/11).
Surrendered six hits, but struck out eight batters
against South Dakota State, not allowing a run to
score in his 7.0 innings of work (3/11).
Became the first pitcher in the Valley to reach
the five win plateau, going 5-0 with his 6.2 innings
of work against Portland (4/1).
Struck out six batters in the MVC opener at
Illinois State, tossing 5.1 innings, but didnt get
credited with a decision (4/8).
Turned around to throw 7.1 innings of scoreless
baseball at Indiana State, earning his first
conference win in the 4-0 win (4/15).
Earned the starting nod in the opening game at TD
Ameritrade Park Omaha, throwing a scoreless inning
against Nebraska, allowing one hit and striking out
one (4/19).
Struck out a season-high nine batters against
Southern Illinois, allowing two runs in 6.2 innings
of work; the Bluejays won the game 5-4 (4/22).
Threw 2.0 innings of scoreless baseball in 9-8 win
over Nebraska (5/10).
Hit the 10-win mark with a season-high 8.0 innings
of work against Missouri State in the final series
of the regular season; allowed just four hits and
one earned run, while striking out eight in the 3-1
win (5/20).
Came in for his only relief appearance of the
season in the 3-1, MVC Tournament win over Wichita
State; the southpaw tossed 3.2 innings of scoreless
baseball, striking out six batters.
Final start of the season was in the NCAA
Tournament, throwing 6.0 innings against Oregon
State (6/4).
2010 (Freshman at Creighton)
Named third-team Freshman All-American by
PingBaseball.com.
Made 14 appearances, starting 11 of them.
Was near the top of several statistical categories
in the Valley, finishing third in ERA, second in
opponent batting average, tied for fourth in hits
allowed, tied for fifth in runs allowed and third in
walks and runs allowed.
Led team in ERA and threw one of two complete
games for the staff in 2010.
Finished season with 58 strikeouts and 75.1
innings, good for third and second respectively in
CU history among freshmen.
Made first career appearance at Stephen F. Austin
(2/28), throwing 0.2 innings.
Made lengthy relief appearance vs. Northern
Colorado (3/6), striking out seven in 6.2 innings,
while allowing just one run.
Started first game at Metrodome against Harvard
(3/14), striking out four, but walking four, in 5.0
innings.
Matched season-high with seven strikeouts at SIU
(3/27), taking a no-decision.
Made the first of three, 8.0 inning appearances
against Indiana State (4/4), whiffing four in a
no-decision.
Retired first 17 batters in start against Illinois
State (4/11), but suffered loss after allowing three
runs in the sixth.
Recorded first career win at Bradley (4/18),
allowing two earned runs, while striking out six in
eight innings.
Threw CUs first complete game of the year at
Missouri State (4/25), but suffered the loss,
allowing three unearned runs on six hits, with six
strikeouts.
Picked up second win of season against Evansville
(5/1), throwing 6.0 innings and striking out six.
Struck out six for the fourth time in five outings
in win against Seattle (5/15).
2006-09 (Regis Jesuit High School)
Played baseball and tennis for Regis Jesuit High
School in Aurora, Colo.
Named honorable mention all-state his senior
season in baseball.
Was also a first team all-conference and all-area
selection his senior year.
Named to the All-State Academic First Team his
junior and senior season.
Played in the Colorado Senior All-Star Game.
Batted .545 with 31 RBI his senior year.
Put up a 7-1 record with a 3.42 ERA, and 74
strikeouts in 45 innings on the mound.
Earned highest academic honors each semester in
