Possibly the George Henry Wilkinson born December 31, 1853 in Carroll County Virginia, in 1870 Lafayette County, Missouri with parents James and Drucells, marrying Mary Ellen Cowan January 19, 1873 in Missouri.

George cash-claimed 160 acres in 1891 in 5N 47W, adjoining William Burdett, John H. Allen, Ellis E. Powell, James R. Crookshanks, Henry S. Davis, and Christ Knabe. in the same year.

We are seeking confirmation regarding the father of Thomas Wilkinson, married to Zephalinda Russel. Thomas died in Yuma colorado. On his death certificate it stated that John W. WILKINSON was his father.

Family legend has it that John Wilkinson died at Tipton, Cedar County, Iowa 11 November 1896. At this time I haven't been able to prove that. It is also said that John was married to Hannah nee David who died at Bennett, Cedar County, Iowa in 1891 (also not proven).

Thomas and Zephalinda had a large family. Here's hoping some of them know more about their grandfathers than we do.
