In 1870 Johnson County, Iowa, F. Talbot is 50, Elizabeth 49, James F. 22, Mary E. 20, teaching school, John P., 18, Hardy D. 16, George S. 14 Abbie J. 13, Albert G. 9, with Alvah B. 46 a farm laborer.

Ann/ Elizabeth Coben/Coburn is a housekeeper with them in both 1860 and 1870 census - born in Massachusetts 1841-1844.

Curtis A. born Feb 16, 1822, married first May A. Dolloff of Wentworth, then Emily J. Sully of Longdon England, living in New Hampshire
Alvah B. born in Francestown June 22, 1824, was unmarried, resided in Iowa, died August 28, 1890.

Martha Jane born Nov 7 1829, married Albert G. Swan of Lowell Massachusetts.
Joe born Sept 5, 1791, farmer, died in Dedham, Massachusetts.

In 1880 Richardson County, Nebraska, F.R. Talbot is farming 62, H.E. 59, Mary 27 a dressmaker, Abby 22, no occupation, and Albert 19 working on farm.

In 1885 Richardson County, Nebraska, Alva Talbot is 36, born in New Hampshire, a laborer for Duncan and Emma Thompson.

Alvah B. Talbot cash-claimed a quarter in 19, 5N 46W March 26, 1890,and Albert one in section 20 in 1891.

In 1898, Albert and "James" were delinquent on taxes for their two quaters.

Abbie is married to William Oglein 1900 Yuma County, farming. William was born May 1858 in Illinoises, and they're on the same page as Henry Bingaman.
With them are Ida L. Dec 1882 Nebraska, George F. June 1889 Colorado, John May 1894 Colorado, and Hazel H. Sept 1898 Colorado.

In 1900 Iowa County, Iowa, James F. Talbot born Sept 1847 in New Hampstire, with brother Albert Nov 1860 Iowa, son Charles Nov 1879, James E. July 1882, Wallis June 1888, Clarence E. Nov 1892, Jennie M. Aug 1894, and Esther G. Dec 1897, all the kids born in Iowa. With them is mother Hannah E. Dec 1820 New Hampshire,
1900 "Mr. and Mrs. John P. Talbot and family of Stillwater, Oklahoma are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ogle's."
John was born October 9, 1851 at Francestown New Hampshire to Fuller Talbot born at Francestown and Elizabeth McNeil

John is buried in Stillwater, Oklahoma 1852-1945.

December 1901 "The county commissioners have sold the poor farm to Mrs. Talbot, mother of Mrs. W.O. Ogle. Mrs. Talbot will improved the place some and make it her home in the near future."

1904 "Mrs. Talbot and son of Williamsburg, Iowa are visiting at the home of W.O. Ogle."

August 19, 1910 "Mr. James Talbot and daughter, of Williamsburg, Iowa, are visiting at the Wm. Ogle farm south of town."

ALBERT

September 20, 1907 "Mr. Talbot, brother of Mrs. W.O. Ogle, died last evening and will be buried at 1 o'clock Saturday."
A. Talbot was buried in 1907 in Lot 80 of the Yuma cemetery. Others in that lot are Duncan and Lydia McCall, Margaret Labarr, and Ellen Dean.
Albert cash-claimed another quarter in 5, 1N 48W in 1908, a mile from William Ogle's claim in 1906.

August 1908

In 1922, Albert's land in 1N 48W was to be bequeathed to his only heir, his mother Hannah Elizabeth Talbot.

1900 "Mrs. M. E. Talbot, mother of Mrs. W. 0. Ogle, had a pleasant birthday surprise last Saturday on the occasion of her 80 th birthday. Mrs. Talbot returned to Yuma a few days ago accompanied by her son, Albert, for her health and intends making her home with her daughter during her declining years. A merry company surrounded the well laden table and while most of those present had passed the half century mark, yet the hearts of all were voting and Mrs. Talbot will always remember the dinner of December 15, 1900. The following were present: . ..... Mr. and Mrs. Field , Mrs. Abbott, Mr. and Mrs. Hull, Mr. and Mrs. Cutler, Mr. and Mrs. Metz and little daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Jacobson and family."

June 7, 1901 "Mrs. Talbott and son, mother and brother of Mrs. Ogle returned to Kansas on Wednesday evening."

1908 "Notice is hereby given that Hannah E. Talbot mother of Albert G. Talbot, deceased, of Yuma, Colo., has filed notice of her intention to make final, five-year proof in support of his claim, viz : Homestead Entry No. 1761 made Jan. 21, 190? , for the South East quarter Section 6, Township 1 N., Range 48 W., and that said proof will be made before Kissinger, at Yuma, Colorado, on March 10, 1908. "

In 1910 Yuma County, George is farming alone, 20. Next household is William Ogle 52 and Abbie G. 51. with John 15 and Hazel 11, son. Hannah E. Talbot is living with them 89.

May 16, 1913 "Mrs. Talbert, nearly 93 years of age, mother of Mrs. Ogle, living southwest of town, died Tuesday morning. The remains were taken to Williamsburg, Iowa for burial."

Hannah died in 1913, and is buried in Iowa County # 20838474, with Fuller Ramsey Talbot 1819-1897, # 142830513.

ABBIE

Abbie proved up two quarters in 1917 in 1N 48W - next to George F. Ogle's 1916 claim of two quarters.

William O. Ogle cash-claimed a quarter in 18, 5N 46W - next to Alvah Talbot - in 1891.

TALBOT, JAMES F. Sec. 17, P. O. York Center.
Was born in Hillsborough county, New Hampshire, September 6, 1847. His parents came to Johnson county, Iowa, in 1867, where he lived until 1868 when he began to work for himself. He bought a team and commenced breaking land by the acre in the vicinity of of Lone Tree, Johnson county, clearing the first year $600. He continued that business until 1872, when he came to Iowa county, and settled in York township where he bought and has since improved 120 acres. In 1877 he married Mary E. Tracy of York, Nebraska, by whom he has two children: Annie Belle and Charles F. He and his wife are members of the M. E. Church.

1907 Thursday evening, April 11, at the home of the groom, Mrs. Carrie Nelson of Marionette, Wisconsin and James F. Talbot of Williamsburg were married by the Rev. W. H. Dillon of the M. E. Church. "

January 21, 1919 "Mr. James F. Talbot, a retired farmer, living in Williamsburg, died Tuesday morning after a lingering illness covering a period of several months. Mr. Talbot was one of the early pioneers of the town. He was a staunch supporter of the Methodist church and was connected w i t h the various activities for the betterment of the community. Mr. Talbot was 71 years old and leaves a wife and five children to mourn his loss. The funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the Methodist church. Steps"

Mary Maria was the first child of John Edward and Maria Artlysia Boblett Tracy. She was born August 10, 1857 in Ohio before the family moved west. She married James Fuller Talbot in 1877 in York, Nebraska. The story I heard was that she met James when the family lived in Illinois and he followed the family to York. After they married James and Mary moved to Williamsburg, Iowa. James was a farmer. They had seven children: Annabelle (1878), Charles Fuller (1879), James Edward (1882), Walter George (1887), Clarence Earl (1892), Jennifer M (1894), and Esther G (1897). Mary died February 3, 1898. We know from the letters posted previously that Mary had some sort of tumor.

The oldest girl, Annabelle died August 31, 1885 at seven and a half years old. ---------------------------------

Dear Mother and all
It’s been a long time since I wrote to you. I have not been well the rest are as well as usual. Father Talbot was taken sick the 16 of Nov and died the 22nd. James got a telegram and went to Great Bend had him sent up and brought Mother and Albert up too as they could not do much there. We are looking for you here Christmas so don’t disappoint us, we have lots of snow just now, and cloudy for more, when you see Ray tell her I will write to her before long, I don’t see why Aunt Ann don’t write or send me the picture she said she had for me. I answered her letter as as I got it last spring let us know in your next letter that you will be here Christmas. Good by untill then. Mary Talbot

James F. Talbot and Mary M. Talbot's daughter 1878-1885 is buried in Iowa County - probably the Anne B Talbot, age 7 in the 1885 Iowa County census, with J. F, and Mary, brother Charels 5 and James 2.

James Talbot and Mary Tracy's daughter Esther might be the Esther Long 1897-1988 buried in Palm Beach County, Florida # 60739388.

Their daughter Mary Elizabeth Long 1920-2007 is also buried there # 60739379.

Jennie Talbott married Frank H. Haines in Linn County Iowa June 3, 1913.
Walter G. Talbott married Grace Harris in Williamsburg Iowa October 1, 1908.

Charles E. Talbot 1879-1935 is buried in Des Moines # 128127150.
"Charles Talbot and brother of Edward and Walter Talbot, died in the Broadlawn Hospital, Des Moines, Saturday, April G, of internal injuries suffered in an accident at his home Tuesday evening, April 2. Thc eldest son of Jamrs F. and Mary Talbot, nee Tracy. Charles Fuller Talbot was born Novemiber 10, 1879, on a farm five miles cast of Williamsburg. While he was still a young boy, the family moved onto a farm east of Williamsburg. On June 22, 1905, Miss Ella Spear of iMissouii and Charles Talbot were united in at Des Moines where they resided for a few years until moving.... The many friends of the deceased in Williamsburg and community offer sincere sympathy to the ibereaved relatives. three (brothers; Walter of West Palm iBeaeh, Florida, George of Lakeworth, (Florida; and Richard of Oakland, 'California; and three sisters, MTS. Eugene Kast of Mil. waukee, Wis., 'Mirs. David M. Jones and Mrs. Clarence Durr of Williamsburg, ,an>d 'his father, who now lives in Wlliamsburg. One brother died in infancy. One grandchild, Elizabeth Ann Powers, likewise survives. "
