Otto and Lena (Busing) Stoermer, brother Herman Stoermer, Wages

Herman and Margarethe Busing arrived in New York in 1914, with Johanne 9, Maria 6, Line 3, and Martha 1.
In 1910 the Busing family is in Brown County, Kansas, adding Henrietta 4 and Herbert 1. Brother John Busing, 34, is with them.
In 1920 Washington County, Colorado, Joh H. is 52, Margaret 45, with Johanna 25, Marie 2?, Lena 19, Martha
Both Herman and Otto have naturalization records on file in Yuma County.

In 1930 Weld precinct Elsie H. 18 is married to Herman O. Stoermer, 34 born in Germany. With them is brother Otto E. Storemer 29 (on the same census page are parents and two married sisters.)
In 1940 Yuma County, Otto E. is 40, Lena B. 29, both born in Germany, with Earnest 8, Edna H. 6, and Paul E. 3, all kids born in Colorado. They had been in Washington County Colorado in 1935.

Lena Hermina Margaret Stoermer, 90, Cole Camp, died May 30, 2000, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Cole Camp. She was born April 20, 1910, in Oldenburg, Germany, a daughter of Johann H. and Margaret Henrika Janssen Busing. She was married April 19, 1931, in Yuma, Colo., to Otto E. Stoermer, who survives at the home. A homemaker, she was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Cole Camp. Survivors include: two daughters, Edna Simon, Cole Camp, and Margaret Mayhew, Jefferson City; one son, Herbert Stoermer, Cole Camp; one sister, Emma Bell, Cheyenne, Wyo.; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. One son, Paul Stoermer, preceded her in death. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. The Rev. Erich L. Kurz will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery, Cole Camp. Visitation will follow a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. today at Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp. Raymond Albert Simon, 86, of Cole Camp, died Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia, with his family by his side. He was born on March 21, 1925, on the family farm near Bahner, Missouri, a son of Carl E. and Clara (Ehlers) Simon. He attended Pacific School in Pettis County and the Lutheran School at Holy Cross. On August 16, 1959, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church of rural Cole Camp, he was united in marriage to Edna Helena Stoermer by Rev. F. H. Gerken.
Raymond was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church of rural Cole Camp and the Couples Club. He worked on the farm and was a dairy farmer for more than 20 years. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and spending time with his dog, Red. He is survived by his wife, Edna Simon of the home; three daughters, Karen Knox and her husband Steve of Cole Camp, Lois Henning and her husband Ronnie of Cole Camp, and Anita Pringle and her husband Jon of Warrensburg; two sons, Ronald Simon and his wife Vicky of Lenexa, Kansas, and Mark Simon of Cole Camp; six grandchildren, Brandon Simon, Alexis Kabler, Christina Simon, Colin Kabler, Riley Henning, and Reece Henning; and four step-grandchildren, David, William, Lucas, and Corey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Clara Simon, his sister, Florence Harms, and his brother, Victor Simon.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, rural Cole Camp, with Pastor Michael Boothby officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery, Cole Camp. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. The family suggests memorial contributions be given to Lutheran School Association or Holy Cross Lutheran Church in care of the Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp.

HERBERT
Herbert Ernest Stoermer, 81, of rural Cole Camp, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles. He was born on February 12, 1932, at Yuma, Colorado, a son of Otto and Lena (Busing) Stoermer.
He was baptized by Pastor Hoyer on February 21, 1932, and was confirmed on April 14, 1946, by Pastor R. P. Schulz at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Yuma, Colorado. He attended St. Paul's Lutheran School in Yuma, CO. As a young man, he helped on the family farm in Colorado, where they farmed corn and wheat. In 1950, he moved with his parents to a farm they had purchased in the Lake Creek area northeast of Cole Camp.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. On November 28, 1954, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church of rural Cole Camp, he was united in marriage to Marvalee Bahrenburg by Pastor Dye. The couple moved to a farm near Bahner. In 1960, they moved back to the Stoermer family farm northeast of Cole Camp.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sedalia. He loved to farm, read, and drink root beer and enjoyed taking yearly trips back to Yuma, Colorado, to visit family and friends. He is survived by:
his wife, Marvalee Stoermer of the home; two daughters, Coleen Johnson of Sedalia and Donna LaFavor of Sedalia; two sisters, Edna Simon of Cole Camp and Margaret Mayhew of Jefferson City; three grandchildren, Joseph LaFavor, Emily Dunn, and Alexandra Clark; and two great-grandchildren, Randy Stoermer and Zachary Dunn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Lena Stoermer, and his brother, Paul Stoermer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 15, 2013, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sedalia, with Pastor Jeremy Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery, rural Cole Camp, with military rites by the American Legion Post No. 305 of Cole Camp. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time on Monday at the church in Sedalia. The family suggests memorial contributions be given to Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund or St. Paul's Lutheran School in Sedalia, in care of the Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp.
Pallbearers will be Larry Stoermer, Mark Simon, Dean Doll, Greg Bahrenburg, Jimmy Bahrenburg, Ed Goetz, Brian Bahrenburg, and Travis Doll.

HERMAN

In 1937 Yuma County, Herman Stoermer (Elsie) is 17 miles north and 10 east of Yuma, a farmer, with Louise and Amel.
LOUISE
Louise Elizabeth Walgren of Holyoke died Saturday, January 8, 2005 in Fort Collins. She was 70. Louise was born May 2, 1934 (stone: 1935) to Herman and Elise (Schmidt) Stoermer in Haxtun. She was raised in the Holyoke and Haxtun area where she attended school. She went to Sterling Community College and worked for an attorney's office while there. Louise worked for the Department of Social Services after returning to Holyoke. She enjoyed playing the piano, hot air ballooning and sitting on her deck and watching thunderstorms. She also enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos and family barbecues. She loved spending time with her family. Louise was preceded in death by her father, her husband Everett and sister Shawn Elizabeth. She is survived by brothers Emil Stoermer of Fort Collins and David Stoermer of Laguna Beach, California; nieces Taajia Enke and husband Terry of Wellington, Shana Park and husband Brian of Fort Collins, Shannon Park and husband Rich of Fort Collins and Shalyn Dunlap and husband Delbert of Fort Collins; grand-nieces Shelbylynne Enke of Wellington and Cambria Park of Fort Collins. Services were held Tuesday, January 11 at Allnutt Riverside Chapel in Fort Collins. Graveside services were held at the Holyoke Cemetery on Wednesday, January 12 at 1 p.m.
EMIL
Emil Eugene (Lime) Stoermer died November 13, 2009. Emil was born May 8, 1936, in Haxtun. He moved with his family to Saratoga, Wyoming and then back to the Northeastern Colorado area where he lived the rest of his life. Emil retired from Holyoke Co-Op and moved to Fort Collins where he could be closer to his daughters and their families. He loved his family, horses and county music. Emil will be greatly missed. Emil is survived by his daughters, Taanjia and husband Terry Enke, Shannon and husband Rich Park, Shalyn and husband Del Dunlap, and Shana and husband Brian Park; granddaughters, Shelbylynne Enke and Cambria Park; and brother David Stoermer and wife Marlene. He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Stoermer; mother Elsie Stoermer; and sister Louise Walgren. Memorial service was held November 17 at Allnutt Drake Chapel in Fort Collins.
