Herbert and Lucille (Lamar) Mayo
Herbert Mayo and Caroline Lucille Lamar married October 28, 1916.
Mrs. Joslin wrote about Christmas dinner 1916 "Mr. and Mrs. Lamar and Melvin, Mr. Ernest Lamar and wife, and Mr. & Mrs. Mayo (Lucille Lamar) ate dinner with us Xmas"
In 1920 James 61 and Ella 54 Lamar are in Weld (roughly the same as earlier Magee) Precinct, with Melvin J. 16. With them is daughter Lucille K. Mayo, 24 and son-in-law Herbert Mayo 28. They have Darl H. 2 and James F. two-months.
Guy I. Strickland married Mrs. Lucile Mayo March 2, 1930.
We are researching the Mayo family from Colorado and Nebraska. My
name is David and my grandfather was Herbert Mayo from Cambridge,
Nebraska and Table Grove, Illinois, he was born August 5, 1889. His
Father was John William Mayo, born October 21, 1854 and his mother was
Sarah Emily Bossort, born May 30, 1862. My grandmother was Caroline
Lucile Lamar, Born June 8. 1896. Her father was James Buchanan Lamar,
1858-1933. Her grandmother was Ella May Williams 1864-1936

One tree says Herbert Mayo died June 12, 1928, and is buried in the Bartley Cemetery, Nebraska
