Action on the Plains has a nice section on the Wages School "For the terms 1910-1911 Miss Ruth Baker from Bartley, Nebraska, took a homestead.  She taught one term, and kept her little brother John with her.  She was succeeded by her sister who later married Stanley Yates."

Stanley S. Yates proved up on two quarters about three miles east in 1918.  Simeon Yates had two homesteads north of Ruth's - both in 1919.

Ruth Baker proved up on a half-section in 19, 5N 45W in 1918.  This would be about two miles southeast of the school.
