There's a Danish / German Christ Knabe, born 1867, who was in Woods County Oklahoma in  1910, 1920, 1930

In 1900  Woods County Oklahoma A. William Kenabe is 76, living with son John 46, his wife Mary 43, and their eight kids, including Christon 15.  They said John and Mary immigrated in 1873, William in 1887.

In the 1910 census Christopher is 42, Florence 39, stepchildren  Sylvia W. Wintrow 17  and Virgil W. Wintrow 16 (born Nebraska) .  They have Hazel 3, born Oklahoma.  He said he immigrated in 1891.

FindAGrave has a Christian Knabe in Alva, Oklahoma, death August 12, 1962 and Florence death September 21, 1953

In the same cemetery is a cement marker William Aug Knabe 1822-1901, and the listing says his son was Hans Christian "John" Knabe born October22, 1853, dying August 29, 1937.

The funeral for Hazel K. Dickson, 99, of Alva, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Wharton Funeral Chapel, Alva. The Rev. John Clapp will officiate. Burial will be in Alva Municipal Cemetery. She was born Dec. 4, 1906, on the family homestead near Avard in Woods County, Indian Territory, to Florence Howard and Christian Knabe and died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006, at the home of her daughter near Stillwater. She attended Friendship Rural Grade School and Northwestern Normal School in Alva. She married Roy Gilbert Dickson Oct. 23, 1931, in Alva. He died May 14, 1978. They farmed southwest of Hopeton and she taught music and rhythm band at Green Valley and Mid-Valley Rural schools, winning many awards. She also served on the Mid-Valley School Board. In 1939, they moved near San Antonio and in 1951, they moved to Wichita, Kan., where she worked as a bookkeeper for Frontier Appliances and sold Pfaff sewing machines. In 1960, they retired and returned to Alva. She was a member of several Home Demonstrations clubs and quilting clubs. She taught art classes in Alva, Dacoma and Waynoka. She co-founded the Nescatunga Art Shows and was an editor of the Pioneer Footprints Across Woods County. She drew the logos for the book and for the Cherokee Strip Volunteer League of which she was a charter member. She also was a member of the Cherokee Strip Museum and served on the board. Surviving are one daughter, Wanda Shipley of Stillwater; a son, Howard of Santa Clara, Calif.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother and a sister.
