In 1880 Hickory County, Missouri, George Proctor is 36, Sarah 29, James 10, Mary 8, Edward 6, William 4, and Eula 2.

In 1900 Hickory County, George is farming, born March 1845, married 33 years to Sarah A. August 1850. She's had seven kids, six living. John E. September 1873 and George P. May 1883, all four born in Missouri.

September 1905 Wray "G.R. Proctor of Vernon left last night for an extended visit to Mineral Springs, Texas. He goes there for medical treatment."


Sarah Alice (Brown) Proctor was born in Missouri. " She married George Robert Proctor on 6 Dec 1866 in Weaubleau, Hickory, Missouri. Children: James W., John E., Mary Alice, George P., William Columbus, Eli B., and one child who died in infancy. "
She's buried in Vernon 1850-1915 # 20739469, with George Robert Proctor 1845-1921 # 79961912.
"Sarah A Proctor's 1915 obit mentioned six sons/one daughter. Inf Son (died at birth), Eli B (Died in Canada in 1911), James, John, William C (Wray), George P (Vernon) and Mary A Proctor Ward (Vernon)."

JOHN

September 26, 1912 "J. E. Proctor who went to Clive, Alberta about a year ago when his brother was killed in an automobile accident, to look after his brother's business, returned to Wray last Monday. He was accompanied by his brother's family. They expect to remain here for about six weeks and then return to Canada. Mr. Proctor is a brother of Will and George Proctor of Vernon."

John Edward Proctor registered for WWI in Yuma County, born Sept 21, 1873, working at Clive, ALberta. His nearest relative was Mrs. Anna May Proctor of Clive.
He's buried in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. # 95848434.



GEORGE

December 1910

April 1911 "Harry McGee and George Proctor left last Friday night for Chicago, and they may go to New York City before returning. The boys ought to have a good time on a big trip like this."

August 1911 "George Proctor who has been clerking in a store at Wiggins for several weeks, visited in Wray over Sunday."

George P. Proctor, of Vernon, Colorado married Irene Fulks Sept 9, 1912 in Moniteau County, Missouri.

October 14, 1915 "Mrs. George Proctor's mother from Latham Missouri is visiting this week."

George Preston Proctor registered in Vernon, too, born May 7, 1883, farming, wife Irene.
George is farming in 1920 Yuma County, 37, born in Missouri, Irene 22 Missouri, with Tim L. 6 and Mike 3 born in Colorado.

Mary Louise Proctor was born May 22, 1928 in Amarillo, Texas to George P.Proctor and Irene Sierks, both born in MIssouri.

George is back in Cole County, Missouri in 1930, 47, Irene 32, Tim 16, Mike 13, Ila W. 7, - these three in Colorado, and Mary L. 1 born in Texas.
George is divorced in 1930 Solano, California, a laborer at the San Benicia S.R.A. work camp, in Madera County in 1935.
George Preston Proctor, born May 7, 1883 in Missouri, died in Alameda County Sept 7, 1956.

Irene "Practor" married George William Hays in Alameda County March 16, 1935.

In 1940 Berkeley California, George Hays is 44, Irene 41, Antoinette 18 Missouri, Earlene 17 Colorado, Margaret 14 Missouri, and Mary 11 Texas.
Mary A. Ward's 1955 obit in Wray says that brother George P Proctor was living in Oakland, California.
Irene (Fulks) Hays 1898-1952 is buried in El Cerrito, California # 75857103
"Irene was the daughter of Sarah James (Black) and Henry Alexander Fulks. She first married George Preston Proctor on Septemeber 9, 1912. Their children were Timothy L., Michael J., Ila Earlene, and Mary Louise. Irene second married the widower George William Hays. Irene's sister, Adella, was married to George's first cousin, George Franklin Hays."

Michael J. Proctor, born Oct 22, 1916, died June 13, 1967 in Contra Costa County.

Ila E. Walden, born Feb 26, 1923 in Colorado, died March 27, 1966 in Alameda County.


WILLIAM
1905 "W.C. Proctor and Si Woody of near Vernon, were in town last Saturday and took out lumber for the new buildings which they are erecting."


In 1910 Yuma County, William C. Proctor is 34, born in Missouri, farming. Two boarders are with him.
April 1913 "Work began last Monday morning on the story and half frame house of W. C. Proctor on his farm several miles southwest of Vernon. The contract was let to Tom Dunnington, contractor and builder, of this place. The house which is 28 x 23 will be a great improvement to the farm and to that locality."

1919 "List your property with W.C. Proctor, the land man, Wray, Colorado, if you want results."




William Columbus Proctor is in Vernon, Colorado registering for WWI, born Feb 16, 1876, a real estate agent, nearest relative George P. Proctor of Vernon, brother.
He had a clothing store in Vernon, described well by Mrs. Lois Blacker.

One post said W.C. Proctor married Carrie Milner in Angelina County, Texas in 1934.??
They were in Uvalde, Texas in 1930, W.C. 53 Missouri, Carrie 35, with Billie C. 4 Texas.
In August 1945 the Yuma Pioneer advertised "FOR SALE - Improved 320 acre wheat farm fifteen miles northeast of Yuma - Possession now - W.C. Proctor Realty Co, Wray Colo."
April 1949 "W.C. Proctor reported yesterday that the old George Leininger ranch, comprising 4,120 acres and located about 17 miles northwest of Wray had been sold by L.A. Hoskins who bought the ranch from Leininger, to Jo Connally and Gale Soehner."

WRAY, Colo., Sept. 14 1955 – A Wray piano teacher said Tuesday she believes she has discovered a child piano prodigy – a three-year old Nebraska girl who plays melodies and “reads” music.

The teacher is Mrs. W. C. Proctor who has taught piano for more than 25 years. The girl is Eunice Lucille Gregory who has never had a lesson.

The girl began picking out simple tunes on the piano before she could talk.

Mrs. Proctor is cautious but she says: 'I believe the child has the makings of a real celebrity in the music world.”

William C. Proctor's obituary was in the Wray newspaper in 1957, per Lee Zion's index.
He's buried in Wray 1876-1957 # 63096249.

" Mary E. Mullins married John D. Milner on September 20, 1893. Both Mary Mullins Milner # 51051851 and John Milner # 83418315 are buried in Angelina County at the Zavalla Cemetery in Zavalla, Texas. Children were: Carrie Milner Proctor; Jocie Milner Brakefield; Jim Milner; John Milner; Glenn Milner; Lois Milner; Lee Milner (reportedly killed by lightning). "

December 1957 Del Rio, Texas

"Mrs. Caroline Proctor and Arthur Lohman were married in Burlington, Colorado, December 6, local friends of the bride have learned. The widow of W. C. Proctor, she formerly resided in Del Rio. Mr. and Mrs. Lohman are on an extended wedding trip through the South and Florida, making the trip in a car which was the wedding gift of the groom. Their plans include a month's visit in Paris, France, where Mrs. Lohman will meet and study with her former organ teacher. She is a musician and teacher and served as organist at the Wray Methodist Church In Wray, Colo. The groom is a retired wheat farmer and a long time resident of Wray. "

July 1934 Orange Texas, "Mrs. W.C. Proctor of Del Rio arrived here this mornig to be the guest of Miss Clara Arnette, this week. Mrs. Proctor is staff organist for radio station XER at Del Rio."

August 1959 Corning, Iowa "Mr. and Mrs. Art Lohman, Wray, Colorado, stopped here Thursday and visited at the local telephone office and visited a few hours with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Fisher. They were on their way to the Dells in Wisconsin where they will spend the balance of the summer."

Lubbock, Texas - September 2, 1976
"Services for Glenn Milner, 71, of 1911 47th St., will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Resthaven-Singleton-Wilson chapel. The Rev. J. Waid Griffin, associate pastor of First United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery. Milner died Wednesday morning at a relative's residence in Cotton Center. Justice of the Peace Glenn Stone ruled death due to natural causes. Born in Hunington, he moved to Lubbock in 1932, from Lufkin. Milner was married to Bertha DeJarnett on Oct 22, 1932, in Clovis, N.M. He was a retired pipeline instructor, a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and Yellowhouse Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife; and two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Lohman of Wray, Colo., and Mrs. Josie Brakefield of Fort Worth."

Caroline O. "Carrie" (Proctor) Lohman is buried in Wray 1894-1988 # 64687670.


ELIE CLIVE

In 1900 Lincoln County, Oklahoma, Ely B. Proctor is farming, a boarder, born April 1878 in Missouri, with the John L. and Julie Weir family.

The stone # 105390316 in Lacombe, Alberta, Canada has "Elie B. Proctor, beloved husband of May Proctor, died August 11, 1911, aged 33 years. The above Anna May Proctor died April 4, 1926, aged 45 years. Edna Madge Proctor died August 1, 1908 aged 1 year.

JAMES


The Texas death certifiate says James. born August 14, 1871 in Waubeau Missouri, died of gunshot in McAllen Texas August 20, 1919 - informant Amy Proctor.

Herschal Barnett Proctor- b. Dec 1896-97 OK, son of James Uriah Proctor & (1) Susan L. Johnson. Family is found on 1900 Lincoln Co OK census. James Uriah b. 4 Aug 1869 - 71 Hickory Co MO, son of George R. Proctor & Sarah Alice Brown.

James m. (1) Susan L. Johnson 29 Jan 1891 Winfield, KS, and (2) Amy G. Dyke 21 Dec 1904 Lincoln Co OK. James d. 20 Aug 1919 possibly in McAllen, TX. Children of James & wives: George b. 1892, Herbert b. 1895, Herschal b. 1897, Chalmer b. 1900, Myrtle b. 1905, William b. 1907, James b. 1916. George Robert Proctor b. 4 Mar 1845 Marion Co MO, d. 7 Feb 1921 Vernon, CO. He m. Sarah Alice (or Eliza) Brown ca 1868.

James's 2nd wife is on 1920 Hidalgo Co TX census.
