1927 George Haworth took a truckload of cattle to Denver Monday for Walter Nikkel, whose truck is laid up for repairs in a garage at Vona.

Nov 1928 "Mrs. Laura Haworth quit her job at the Bates home last week and went to the home of her son, George Haworth for a rest and a change. Mr. Bates is now caring for his wife himself."

1929 Vincent Haworth was in the Joes high school, and was making "quite a salary from the sale of rabbit hides."

October 3, 1929 "A new daughter at the George Haworth home. This is the eleventh child in the Haworth family, and most of them are girls.

June 14, 1934
December 1935 "Vincent Haworth, who had been visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Haworth and his sisters and brothers here, left Wednesday of last week over the southern route for Los Angeles, California." He was with Thelmo Hatt, who had been visiting his mother Mrs. Eunice Bess and his brother Gerald.

1939 The Snyder truck line moved George Haworth from east Kirk to Fort Morgan Monday. An attempt to start Sunday was made, but soft roads put a stop to the procedure.


George and Carrie are in Morgan County in 1940, with Goldie, 20, George M. 18 a farm laborer, Lola 16, Dorothy 14, Gurney 12, Wilfred 10, Mary 8, Doris 6, Darlene 5, and Madeline 2.

GEORGE

George Merlin Haworth 1922-2008 is buried in Albany, Oregon # 57588448.

George M. Haworth was born in Joes, Colo., to George and Caroline Haworth.
He died at Timberwood Court in Albany on Wednesday.
After graduating from high school in Weldona, Colo., in 1940 he spent five and a half years in the Marine Corps during World War II. After leaving the service, he worked in heavy construction in Oregon. Later he joined his parents on a mint farm in the Dever-Conner area, where he lived until he retired and moved to Albany in about 2000.
He is survived by his brother, Gurney Haworth of Albany; sisters Dorthoy Poitras and Darlene Pankalla of Albany, Doris Hudson of Hillsboro, and Madeline Midgorden of Clive, Iowa.
Preceding him in death were his parents; siblings Vera Mae Duff, Vincent Haworth, Beulah Davis, Violet Blanc, Goldie Heckard, Lola Stillwell, Wilfred Haworth and Mary Louise Haworth.
Viewing will be from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at Fisher Funeral Home, 306 Washington St. S.W., Albany, OR 97321. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Willamette Memorial Cemetery.

Greeley, Colorado - May 20, 1944
"Pfc. Lyndel C. Patrick, 26, whose wife and son live with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Haworth, near Jackson lake north of Weldona, is a prisoner of war in Germany, Mrs. Patrick has been informed by the war department. Patrick was captured In Italy and was first reported missing in action since Feb. 23. He was a member of the 167th Infantry, having gone into service with the national guards. Patrick was born May 4, 1919, and attended South high in Denver. He has never seen his son, Lyndell Jr., who is one year old. Patrick's parents live in Denver. "
Lola divorced Lyndell in 1945, and in 1950 killed her son Lyndellin Klamath County, Oregon in a service station restroom. She attempted to kill herself, but survived, and married Shelby Edison Stillwell in 1957 in Salem Oregon.


Lola Caroline Haworth, born at Kirk October 9, 1923, died May 11, 2006, name of Patrick in 1946, and as Stillwell in 1959. She died in Coos County, Oregon, spouse Edison.

News-Register, McMinnville, Oregon, November 18, 1999 Private family services will be held for former Sheridan resident Shelby Edison Stillwell of Bandon. Mr. Stillwell died Nov. 10, 1999, in his home. He was 84. He was born Aug. 21, 1915, and raised in Newberg. He graduated from St. Paul High School. He moved to the Sheridan area in 1938. He worked in highway construction in Oregon until the early 1940s. He served in the merchant marine for 20 years before retiring and later attended Chemeketa Community College. He enjoyed fishing and upholstering furniture. Survivors include his wife, Lola Stillwell of Bandon; a sister, June Yeadon of Amity; and many nieces and nephews.


VERA
In 1940 Yuma County, Gerald Duff is farming, 30, Vera Mae 27, Lois Pauline 7, Donnie Dean 5, and Wanda Marlene 3, all five born in Colorado.
October 9, 1947 "Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Duff of the Mildred community are the proud parents of a son born at the Wray hospital last week and who will be known as Gary Lee."
1956 "Mr. and Mrs. Richard Pruess and Betty spent Saturday and Sunday in Wray with Mrs. Pruess' parents Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Duff and family.
In 1966, when Wayne and Carolyn Duff were killed in a car-train collision at Wray, grandmothers were Mrs. Claude Duff of Wray and Mrs. George Haworth of Alban, Oregon. Carolyn's parents were Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Kerst of Wray. Wayne's parents were the Gerald Duff's of Yuma. Vera Mae Haworth Duff attended an 1994 reunion of Joes high school.

1972 "Mr. and Mrs. Ralph P. Navarro and David left Thursday after a visit at the parental Gerald Duff home in Yuma."
In 1979 Gerald and Vera were living in Kirk.

Vera Mae (Haworth) Duff 1912-1998 is buried in Wray, # 32387222, with Gerald A. Duff 1910-2001.

VIOLET

Per one tree, Violet Masie Haworth 1920-1982 married Alfred Blanc and died in Golden, Colorado.
They married May 5, 1938, recorded in Jefferson County, Colorado.

In 1978 Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Haworth and children of Independence Oregon and Mr. and Mrs. Randall Haworth of Golden were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Duff of Kirk.

RICHARD

Richard S. Haworth, born Jan 26, 1895, died Jan 16, 1956, and is buried in Nyssa, Oregon.
Minerva M. Haworth signed the application for headstone. She lived at 212 N. Holly, New Plymouth Idaho.

Myrtle I. Haworth married Charles A. Stine Dec 10, 1906, recorded in Kit Carson County, Colorado.

VICTOR

Victor is in Kansas City in 1930, 27, an electrician in a soap factory, married to Oma 2\2.
They're in Johnson County Kansas in 1940, with Muriel J. 5 born in Kansas, and niece Joan M. Chandler 8 born in Missouri.

DOROTHY

Dorothy Poitras, 89, of Albany, Oregon, died Friday. , Febraury 6, 2015.

The daughter of George Barclay and Caroline Leona (Johnson) Haworth, she was born in Joes, Colorado. She graduated from Weldona High School and then moved to Denver in 1944 to work in an ammunition plant during the war.
Dorothy moved to Albany in 1951 and went to work for Nebergall Meat Processing. She married Lawrence Poitras on June 27, 1953 in Albany and was a member of the Community Church of Christ.
Dorothy is survived by her stepson, David Poitras, of Springfield; brother, Gurney B. Haworth of Albany; sisters, Doris J. Hudson, of Hillsboro, Darlene Pankalla, of Albany, Madeline Midgorden, of Des Moines, Iowa; and grandson, Nicholas Poitras.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and by her beloved husband, Lawrence. A viewing is scheduled for 4-6pm, Wednesday, February 11 at Fisher Funeral Home, 306 SW Washington St. in Albany. There will be a funeral service at 11am, Thursday, February 12 at Fisher Funeral Home, followed by a graveside committal at Willamette Memorial Park.

DORIS
1955 Albany Oregon " Miss Doris Haworth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George B. Haworth of Albany, became the bride of Jesse Leon Hudson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry H. Hudson of Neosho, Mo., Friday evening, December 9. Vows were exchanged at 8 o'clock in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Stints in Salem. Elder Miles Whiting officiated. Arrangements of white chrys anthemums and red carnations decorated the church. Mrs. William Swain was organist, ac companying .Mrs. James Thomas, soloist. The bride's gown was of white satin styled with lace bodice and sleeves and a train. Her fingertip veil was arranged from a crown trimmed with seed pearls. She carried a white orchid and stephanotis on a white Bible. Maid of honor was the bride's sister, Miss Madaline Haworth. She wore a waltz length frock of white taffeta and carried red carnations. Lighting the candles were Miss Carolyn Haworth, niece of the bride, and Miss Barbara Hart. They wore nylon with red polka dots on white, waltz length. Best man was Arthur Nelson of Dallas. Ushers were Wilfred Haworth, brother of the bride, and Glen Hart, brother-in-law of the bride. A reception followed the ceremony at the church. Assisting were Mrs. Vincent Haworth, Mrs. Glen Hart and Mrs. Wilfred Haworth. The couple will make their home in Dallas. Miss Haworth is a former Jefferson resident, having graduated from the Jefferson high school with the class of 1950."

VINCENT

Vincent Earle Haworth was born to parents George and Caroline Johnson Haworth in Wray, Colorado on January 24, 1914 and lived there until the age of 17. He and his cousin jumped a train and came to Oregon via California. His sister Beulah Davis and family lived in Newberg and that was where he stayed. He met Edison and Joanna Stillwell in Newberg and went of Diesel school in California with Edison. Vince eventually got a job working in road construction in Eastern Oregon. He drove Cat and was the head of the dynamite crew. He was involved in the building of many of Oregons roads, including the Santiam Highway, Columbia Gorge and other various highways. On September 10, 1938, Vincent married Joanna (Stillwell). The ceremony took place in the hop fields in Newberg where they worked. Eventually Vincent, his bride and new daughter settled in the Sheridan area, where their family grew to include two sons in the following years. They moved to Rickreall in 1946 were Vince built a farm house using only hand tools as there was no electricity. The children began their construction training helping with their new home. The three children, Caroline, Vincent and Robert lived and attended school at Rickreall Elementary graduating from Dallas High School and moving on in their own lives. Vincent took a job at Rickreall Farm Supply, where he was a farm machinery mechanic and farmed his own land. During the many years of living in that community he came to know many of the farmers and enjoyed community affairs including the Rickreall Christmas Pageant and being chairman of the Rickreall School Board. In 1972 he retired from Rickreall Farm Supply and took his wife of 46 years on a European vacation to Spain. He has enjoyed farming, gardening, hunting, fishing, logging, wood working, traveling and most of all he enjoyed his 16 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He has gone to join his wife of 54 years Joanna, 1 brother and 5 sisters along with one grandson Stephen Calhoun and one great grandson Maxwell Haworth.

Survivors include Daughter, Caroline Calhoun of Stayton, Sons, Vincent of McMinnville and Robert of Perrydale, Brothers, George and Gurney both of Albany, Sisters, Dorothy Poitras and Darlene Pankella also of Albany, Doris Hudson of Hillsboro, Lola Stillwell of Myrtle Point, Madeline Midgarden of Des Moine, Iowa.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 14th at 1:00 p.m. at the Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center in Dallas, Oregon. Entombment will follow in the Restlawn Mausoleum in Salem, Oregon.


DARLENE

Wayne "Bud" Pankalla, 88, of Albany died Friday at his home. Born in Independence, OR to Emory and Ida (Hampton) Pankalla, Bud grew up in Corvallis and in 1944 joined the US Navy, where he served on the USS Chenago. Following his discharge, Bud returned to Corvallis where he began his career in well drilling, working first for other companies, and then starting his own business.
On June 6th, 1970, Bud married Darlene (Haworth), and together they enjoyed their regular Saturday night card games with friends and spending time with family. Bud loved traveling throughout Oregon where he'd hunt, fish, golf, and make periodic stops at Spirit Mountain Casino. He was an avid gardener, a member of the Eagles Club and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife Darlene of Albany; daughters Kathy Holman and husband Dave of Portland, Patty Street and husband Dan of Albany, and Peggy Burris and husband Larry of Albany; son Doug Hart and wife Deanna of Scio; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Bud was preceded in death by a brother Wally Pankalla. A funeral service will begin at 11am Thursday at Fisher Funeral Home, followed by a graveside committal at Willamette Memorial Park.
