Yuma County Pioneer Photographs:

William Friedhofer appears in the 1910 census at Kirk, with wife Wilhemina.  They have to be the Wilhelm Friedhofer and Wilhemina Schaltze married March 29, 1881 in Arapahoe County.

They are in the 1900 census (Arapahoe County at that time) - William born 1850 and Wilhemina 1843 (both in Germany) and the two sons born in Colorado.

William "proved up" his homestead east of Kirk, and 1912 motored to Wray in his new Flanders automobile (according to the Wray Rattler).

In the 1920 census, William, born about 1850 in Germany,  is living with sons Emil E. (born 1885) and William F. (born 1883) .  William's wife had passed as he was listed as a widower.

The brothers are living together in the 1930 census - William is listed as being born in California.....

William cash-claimed a quarter in 31, 4S 46W in 1891, proved up  quarters in 1896 in 5, 5S 46W and 1, 5S 47W, and a timber quarter in 31, 4S 46W in 1898.

In 1900 Idalia precinct William Friedhoffer, born March 1850 and Wilhelmina June 1845, both born in Germany, have been married 19 years.  Sons William June 1882 and Emil October 1885 both born in Colorado.

In 1910 William F. has a separate household from William and Wilhelmina

One probability is the William Friedhofer - May 28, 1850 - Oct 3, 1925 buried in Wyuka Cemetery, Lincoln, Nebraska.  There's a Wilhelmina there, - 1846-1913

William Fred registered with a Kirk address, saying he was born June 22, 1888.

In 1940 Denver William is a lodger at 1324 18th Street, divorced, saying he was in Yuma County in 1935.

Emil was in Tuttle precinct, Kit Carson County, in 1910, single

Emil Ernest Friedhofer registered with a Kirk address, saying he was born Oct 10, 1885, and was a stock raiser.

In 1920 Kirk precinct Emil and William F. are still single, and father William, 70, widowed is with them.

In 1930 William and Emil are bachelors in Kirk.

Emil E. Friedhofer - 1885-1947 is buried in Denver Fairmount Cemetery. 93728368
