William F. and Ada G. Mace, Idalia

James T. Mace cash-claimed a quarter in 8, 5S 47W in 1891, and William F. Mace one just south of him in 1890.  William also timber-claimed a quarter in section 9 in 1900. 

In 1910 Idalia precinct William F. Mace, 53, and Ada G. Mace, 45, both born in Iowa, have Florence M. 20, born in Colorado, James F. Mace 18, Kansas, Louis A. Mace 16 Nebraska, and Frederick M. Mace 14, Colorado.

Louis Archie Mace, born April 11, 1894, registered in Kit Carson County.

Florence Mace was teaching in 1911 in Tuttle, Kit Carson County.

James Mace, 22, married Myrtle McDanniel, 16, in Yuma September 25, 1915 - minister W. W. Howard of Mildred.

James F. Mace proved up on a quarter in 22, 5S 47W in 1915.

Ada G. Mace in 1920 is divorced, farming in Kit Carson County, and son Lewis A. and his wife Gladys M. are with her.  They're on the same page as  son James F. Mace.

In 1925, 1926 and 1927 Denver Ada G. Mace is at 77 S. Newton (Wid Wm F.)

(James Franklin Mace, 23, son of William Franklin Mace and Ada Clark, married Luda Ruth Ganoung, 18, daughter of Simeon Oatman Ganoung and Mary Elsina Owen, on April 12, 1914 in Warren County, Iowa.

James F. Mace in 1920 is in Kit Carson County, 26, married to Ludah H. 24, Iowa, and they have Florence Marie 4 and Mabel E. 2, both born in Colorado.  In 1930 Marie and Mabel are living with uncle Louis A. Mace and his wife Gladys in Kit Carson County - Ruth Raush - sister-in-law of Louis - 34, born in Iowa, is with them.    Marie and Mabel are also listed in the 1930 census of Warren County, Iowa, with their mother Luda, who's now married to Robert Roush, and they're living with Robert's widowed father.

In 1933 Denver Louis A. and Gladys M. Mace live at 4667 Thompson.  So does Jas F., a carman for the UP RR.  Fredk S. Mace (May) is a janitor at the public library.

Lewis "Achibald" Mace, 1896 - June 1955 and Gladys Mae (Shewin) Mace - 1896-1965 are buried in Crown Hill, Jefferson County, in unmarked graves, per FindAGrave  89637416.

Marie Mace married Glenn W. McCormick of Stratton September 22, 1934 in Burlington.

Florence (Mace) Flageolle proved up on a quarter in 30, 5S 46W in 1916.  Florence Mace had married "Willie H. Flaycolle" in Denver December 27, 1915.  William Henry Flageolle of Kirk registered in Yuma County, saying he was born Oct 11, 1894 in Jefferson, South Dakota.   William Flageolle married Theora Culbertson in Cheyenne Wells Feb 13, 1926.  This Will H. Flageolle registered for WWII in Jasper County, Indiana, with relative Theora Flageolle.  He's probably the Will Flageolle 1929 Colorado Springs, a contractor, married to Theora, and in 1930 Ohio, a monument salesman, married to Theora, 29, with 18-year-old son Beauiford born in Colorado.  In 1940 Will and Theora are in DeKalb County, Indiana, farming.  With them is Theora's widowed mother Ida Mae Culbertson, 59, who said she was born in Missouri and was in Canon City Colorado in 1935.
