"Nathaniel was born at Charlestown, Massachusetts.  Nathaniel lived in Kansas but was visiting Ingalls relatives in Idalia, Colorado when he passed away. Information provided by Virginia Lee Thompson Neave, great-great granddaughter of Nathaniel Ingalls "

Simply because I like the photo, here's a family photo of Nathaniel

In 1880 Charles is with Nathaniel and Elizabeth M. Ingalls in Tremont, Tazewell County, Illinois.  He has sisters Lucy F. 19 and Nellie K., 16.

Charles proved up a quarter in 1920 (rather late) in Section 31, 3S 45W, joining state land along the Arickaree.
