Alfred did a cash claim in 1890 for a quarter on the west side of Eckley
Alfred W. Voorhees was born on Jan 9, 1860 at La Salle, La Salle County, Illinois. He was the son of John Skillman Voorhees and Anne Elizabeth Oppie. Alfred married Luella Howard.
In 1880 he's living with his parents in Tazewell County, Illinois. He' a clerk in a railroad office. That means he has the knowledge and probably redued fare - to file a claim.
In 1887 Fulton County A.W. Voorhees is the postmaster.
In 1900 Fulton County, Illinois he's a retail lumber dealer.
