Albert Thorgrimson


The May 18, 1900 issue of the McCook, Nebraska newspaper, under "Railroad News Items", had "Operator Albert Throgrimson was down from Eckley, part of the week, taking in the Field-day jollities."

Yuma Pioneer - May 18, 1900 "A. B. Thorgrimson, operator at Eckley, has taken a short lay off."

June 1, 1900 Pioneer "Johnie McCarthy and Thorgrimson, the night operator, of Eckley Were Yuma visitors Friday evening. They both have a pretty good ear for strawberries."

July 20, 1900 "Norman and George Campbell and their guest, Stuart McLean, arrived borne on Saturday evening from a short but enthusiastic visit to Ass't Sup't Thorgrimson at Eckley, Colorado."

April 5, 1901 "Machinist M. Thorgrimson is on the sick-list, this week."

A. B. Thorgenson of Kansas City, and Ada Winters of Kansas City, married there on July 23, 1904.

In 1910 Clay County, Missouri, Albert is managing a bucket shop, 28 born in Nebraska, and Ada 26 Ohio, have Albert Bertram 4 born in Missouri. Ada's sister Grace Baun 23, married four years, and Ada's mother Luella Winters 57 married 33 years are with them.

In 1910 "Thomas Lyons is now helping the Western Union to pay dividends, as is Bert Thorgrimson, Bert Hall, Bob Allen, Walter Cook, and a number of former broker men."

1915 the Western Divison of the Western Pacific reported "A. B. Thorgrimson, who relieved Bro. Miller, first Keddie, a few days, later relieved Bro. Jorz, third Keddie, on ninety days' leavt o attend collete."

One Ancestry post said that Ada, daughter of Wiliam Winters and Ella Russell, livied in Reno Nevada in 1915.

1916 the Report of Commission on Industrial Relations, "A.B. Thorgrimson, K.C. - Kidney Trouble ; blacklisted; driven out of telephone business."

Albert Bertran Thorgrinson registered for WWI in Chicago, born April 22, 1881, a telegrapher for E.W> Wagner & Company, wife Ada.

In 1922 Albert is in Paducah County, Kentuckey, a telegraph operator, with Ada living at 1511 Jefferson.

Ada and Albert divorced in 1927 in Pinellas County, Florida.

On May 29, 1929, Lon C. Elder and Ada Thorgrimson married in Pinellas County.
Lon Charles Elder and Mrs. Verna Stevens married in May 1942 at Jacksonville, Florida.
(Lon Charles Elder died in 1953 in Duval County, Florida.)


Albert died in 1942 in Pinellas County, Florida, and is buried in Saint Petersburg. per # 12023792.

Ada, born December 13, 1882, died in Pinellas COunty July 7, 1978.
