February 17, 1916 Wray Rattler Mrs. Charlotte Miller who lived several miles southwest of Wray, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. H. Ellis, last Tuesday. Mrs. Miller had suffered ill health for many years and had been bedfast most of the time since last October. The passing of this esteemed lady leaves many pleasant memories in the minds of those who knew her and the circle of friends that miss her and sorrow with her children over her departure, is large. Mrs. Miller was one of the early settlers in this county, coming here with her children in 1887, and has made this her home ever since. Charlotte Esther Adee was born in Watkins, N. Y. January 3, 1830 and united with the M.E. church at the age of thirteen, and supplemented her early acceptance of Christ by lending a beautiful Christian life for more than three score years. She was married to John S. Miller in her girlhood home, September 21, 1865, and moved to Loudoun county, Virginia, in 1865, and from there to Fremont county, Iowa, in 1879. The husband way taken away in 1885, two years before the family came to Colorado. The deceased leaves four children to mourn her death: A. E. Miller and Mrs. John Hitchcock of Wray, Mrs. C. ?. Ellis of Vernon, and H. M. Miller of Los Angeles, California. One daughter died in infancy. The funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the M.E. church in Wray and were conducted by Rev. E. White of the M. E. church at Vernon. Interment was made in Grand View Cemetery. We extend our sincere sympathy to the children of the deceased who mourn for the loving mother who is no more of earth. But those that mourn for the loss of such as mother who has just passed away, have the comforting thought that she is now free from care and pain and only waits to greet them at the porlals of Heaven when they too are called home. Card of Thanks We wish to express our appreciation of the many acts of kindness and the sympathy extended to us by the many neighbors and friends in our late bereavement. A. E. Miller H. M.
